We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We really enjoyed a lovely relaxing break. From the begining nothing was a problem for the staff- they were very welcoming and friendly. We were told we should park in the hotel carpark. There was no charge. We were asked at the door if we needed any help with our bags (we didnt, but it ws nice to he asked) Check in was quick and easy. We asked about the spa and were advised to open a club card so there would be no charge to use the spa facilities- indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. We did this quickly and easily.
Our room was on the 6th floor. It was spacious and light with a small balcony we could sit on. The views were amazing (apart from the large building site some way away- nothing the hotel could do about that) The room was very clean and comfortable. I read some reviews suggesting the rooms were dated. I can see why some might say that, but you can tell the furniture and bathroom fittings are of good quality, and we were very pleased to stay there. The bathroom was a good size, and had everything youd need. The toiletries provided were a nice touch. If we were to make one suggestion, it would be to update the bathroom - take out the bath with shower over the bath, and add a fitted walk in shower.
Breakfast was everything youd expect. Great choice, fresh tasting and hot where it should be.
The spa facilities were lovely, given that it was November and we couldnt use the outdoor pool.
The bar area and outdoor terrace were very nice.
