OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME
We've stayed a Mi Casa Del Mar A4 many times and it never disappoints. These's not a better spot on the coast IMHO. Spacious with unbelievable views of the ocean, conveniently located, well appointed without being fancy or fussy and responsive staff. We love it!

Paradise in Akumal
This is a WOW property! The layout of the condo is fabulous and the view from all outside decks are absolutely amazing. The condo is ideally located to walk into town, to Akumal Beach, to Half Moon Bay and the lagoon. Rosemary sent very helpful information before our visit that is very comprehensive and really helped us out. Maria is wonderful and kept us supplied with clean beach towels and drinking water. I really have to think about anything that wasn’t great and the only thing I can think of is the shower head in the master suite could be changed so the spray isn’t so strong - very minor. Highly recommend this piece of paradise.

Christmas in Aukmakl
Our stay was wonderful. The home is spotless, and just like the pictures. Good supplies in the cupboard, fabulous view, close to shopping, beautiful beaches and good restaurants. Rosemary answered all of my questions and gave me good suggestions. One night it rained very hard and there was a leak in the roof over the bed in one of the rooms so better check if you encounter heavy rain! A quick bucket caught the water and it stopped as soon as the rain eased up. I would definitely stay again and was sad to leave. The place was comfortable and everything we could have hoped for.l

Mi Casa Del Mar was beautiful, our condo was beautiful exactly as pictured if not better. Loved the view, and other guests were lovely! The area is more laid back and peaceful. Less busy then other areas. Would definitely stay here again. My family and I had a wonderful time!

Better than pictures!
Our family spent 7 nights here and the pictures do not do justice to this amazing property. Everything was perfect. Rosemary is such an amazing host and so easy to reach and communicate with. The property is well taken care of and the house cleaner Maria is the sweetest person. She works hard so do tip her well. The town is within walking distance to several cute shops and restaurants.

As promised, relaxed condo in a smaller building. Nive to have 2 levels and outdoor ensuite was a nice touch. Akumel is not as hectic as Tulum wuth a lot in the area.

Total family bliss in Akumal!
Truly an amazing property with great service providers in an awesome location. Akumal is so special and the condos are close to the village making it easy to walk to whatever you need. The condo has aw inspiring views and is large and comfortable. The pool is perfect after a day of exploring. Rosemary gives great tips on the area and was responsive at all times. This is a great VRBO!

We love this place and try to go at least once a year. This was our 4th or 5th time staying as a group. Amazing view, convenient location and plenty of space to spread out and relax. We'll be back next year...if not before!

Perfection
This condo is absolutely amazing and gorgeous. Wake up to the sunrise from your bed. Gorgeous views and incredible service. Communication with owners was so great. We had babies so we brought netting to put on the outdoor terrace railings. The master bedroom has an open air bathroom which is really unique and fun. You will love it. They have thought of everything you need here. Definitely we will come again.

Couldn’t have been better
Not much more to say beyond what others have reviewed…great location, well priced, beautiful accommodations… We love Mi Casa Del Mar and have stayed there 4 other times. Like everywhere in the area, visitation to akumal is explosive. The community seems to be working with it well and trying to moderate for conservation of the beautiful natural environment. Can be crazy but feel fortunate to visit.

Akumal Dream!
From the moment we arrived at Mi Casa del Mar, we felt welcomed and cared for! We were greeted by Rolando who helped us with parking and showed us to our unit; and we were greeted by Maria who was finishing up the cleaning of the condo for our stay. Both were very warm, cheerful and helpful! Our week in Akumal was incredible! This was our first time to Akumal, and our stay at the condo only added to our incredible vacation experiences. You are walking distance to so much! Half Moon Bay, Akumal Bay, restaurants, shops, the Akumal Art Walk, and the town of Akumal. The condo was very comfortable, well stocked with everything you could need, and it felt like you were staying in a well-loved home. Great internet access too. Provided for us was everything from beach needs (snorkels, masks, beach chairs, beach towels, sunscreen) to fun evening times (movies, games, books). A booklet of info left by Rosemary and John provided great tips for excursions to the ruins and cenotes, meals, shopping, etc. The decks for this condo are incredible and provided for daily star gazing, moon watching, sun bathing, taking of siestas, and simply enjoying the beautiful views and winds of the ocean. Beds were very comfortable, and air conditioning in each of the bedrooms was much appreciated! Fans in living room/dining area provided complete comfort. We have only positive comments to say about our vacation time in Mi Casa del Mar, and will definitely stay again when we are blessed with returning to the beautiful Riviera Maya.

Beautiful condo in a great location
The condo is beautiful with great views. Everything is as described. The condo has everything we needed board games, dvds, books, cooking supplies and condiments, snorkeling gear, etc. Outdoor space on the Terrance is amazing. Lots of places to lounge around and enjoy Akumal. Equal distance to akumal beach and half moon bay and Yal ku lagoon. Lots of restaurants within 5 min walk. Amazing stay. Host was gracious and had lots of useful information. We even hired a private chef for a dinner at the condo.

Amazing
Pictures don't do this property justice. Exceeded our expectations. They really thought of everything. Beach towels, snorkeling gear, sunscreen, coffee, filters. The master with the open shower was invigorating. I've stayed in tons of VRBO, this is by far my favorite. Walking distance to beaches and many restaurants. You can hire a chef. Daily housekeeping if you want it. They even provide safe drinking water. There is no AC in the living area, just in the bedrooms, but there are ceiling fans and floor fans. You can also open up all the sliding doors for the coastal breeze and there are screens.

Completely Lovely
This is an immaculate condo with stunning views. I stayed here with four friends for a long weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday and we had the best time! This condo is truly beautiful inside and out, with a gorgeous setting. From everywhere you sit, you can enjoy the ocean and rocky shore, but our favorite spot was the infinity pool looking out over the waves. There’s even a water spout! The condo has everything you could possibly need and is supremely comfortable. We didn’t even have enough time to give all the deck space enough attention. We very much appreciated the a/c in the rooms and enjoyed keeping all the doors in the living room open to experience the sea breeze and listen to the waves. I absolutely loved the outdoor shower overlooking the jungle. I even saw some animals walk out of the jungle one day. The main part of town, with the beach, store, and fun restaurants is an easy walk away. We loved having the option to either go there or enjoy everything the condo has to offer and we did a bit of both. The manager also helped us find someone to cook us a fabulous neal one night. The owners have worked very hard to curate very detailed information about what to do, see, and eat in Akumal and the surrounding areas, even noting their personal favorites. They probably would have appreciated me reading all of that before I asked them a bunch of questions, but somehow I didn’t realize they had sent it ahead of time! They were so lovely and patient with me. Overall, we just loved the vibe of Akumal and this condo fit right in with that vibe and was a perfect place to experience it. I want to rebook already!

Really nice house in a nice area of Akumal. About 7-10 minute walk to beach. This house had everything you could want. Only complaint was the master on the top floor has an outdoor bathroom. It is neat but very warm in August and while the shower may not be visible to the road, it seems like it might, so we just did not use that. Lots of great places to eat nearby, small grocery near by, owners provide a ton of information about the area. We were disappointed by the bay snorkeling, if you don't want to buy a tour, your area of exploration is very limited. We loved the nearby cenotes of dos ojos and cenote azul.

N'hésitez pas une seule seconde vous ne serez pas déçu ... - Contacts très rapides et réguliers avec la propriétaire - Informations détaillées - Accueil et remise des clefs a l'arrivée avec de l'aide pour monter les bagages au dernier étage de ce sublime Condo - Ménage quotidien - Vue extraordinaire sur la mer (et la jungle depuis la salle de bain a l'étage) - Plage et commerces accessibles a pied - équipement complet ( Absolument Rien ne manque, mieux qu'a la maison :) ) - décoration mexicain magnifique - Chambre spacieuses et lits confortable Pas de lave linge et la climatisation de la pièce principale se fait par 3 gros ventilateurs au plafond + 2 autres complémentaires déplaçables, Bref , une merveille a ne pas rater si vous passez par Akumal Merci a Rosemary

Fabulous Holiday
Had a wonderful stay with family. Hadn’t been to the Mayan Riviera before but so happy we chose this place. Often the accommodation doesn’t live up to the advertised photos but this suite really did. The two levels were immaculate and having all that space was such a luxury. So was having a well stocked kitchen including toaster, blender, microwave, and always full drinking water dispenser. So many lovely indoor or balcony spaces and comfortable chairs, sofas, and loungers to read, play board games, or look out over the sea. The infinity pool is also great to cool off, play with the kids, and enjoy the setting right above the rocks and sea. I could go on and on - it’s a real gem. The only part I hated was leaving.

We recently stayed for a week and were very impressed with the property and staff and location. We walked to the main street in town and the beach, and other restaurant locations and shopping. We were anticipating the worst of the sea grass, but it wasnt bad at all and beaches were able to remove it and it didn't smell. Overall our entire family had a great vacation

Great condo and location
We had a great time at this property and can't wait to go back. The location is great for a low key vacation, with many good restaurants close by. I give the property 5 stars, but there are a couple things that you need to know that weren't clear: 1) You have to climb a couple flights of stairs - there is no elevator. 2) There is no AC in the main living area. It can get hot and stuffy, but opening the doors helps quickly. 3) Master bath is essentially outside - all open so not under AC.

Beautiful house, but...
The house is beautiful, but there are a lot of stairs inside the house. The house is on the top floor (four flights) and it was a hassle carrying heavy luggage up the stair, lucking the service person was there and helped us on the first day, there is no elevator, and my mom has really bad knees and my dad had just had back surgery, so that made it difficult for them to go up and down the stairs. As far as cleanliness,, there are cockroaches (big ones) roaming around behind the fridge and into the open. Cleaning was supposed to be everyday except Sunday, but the cleaning lady did not show up on Saturday. The beach is beautiful, but you can't get in the water, because of too many sharp rocks on the beach.

I am sorry that your stay didn’t meet all your expectations. It is unfortunate that you apparently missed the part in the description of our property where we say that “The penthouse unit is on the third and fourth floor and is only accessible by stairs (30).“ To clarify, the maid only comes once per day except Sunday and if she cleans the condo while guests are out, she is not available to clean the condo again after guests return. We have asked our property manager to do an extra treatment, which normally controls for insects inside the condo. As shown in the posted photos in our listing, the coast directly in front of our condo is rocky, but there is a beautiful sandy beach called Akumal Bay about a 5-10 minute walk from our property.

Outstanding views
We chose the property based on the views and outdoor space featured in the photos and were not disappointed. Sweeping views of the sea made us happy both while inside and out.. There was even a sea view from the semi-outdoor shower in the master bath. I also very much appreciated the detailed information Rosemary provided pre-arrival. Additionally I really appreciated that kitchen basics were available for use, such as coffee filters, sugar, oil. It makes a stay much more convenient.

Great Vacay
Really loved this place! Loved the little town of Akumal which was incredibly family friendly. The penthouse was well equipped had plenty of room for a family of 6, decent wifi( a must when traveling with teens) and most importantly gorgeous views. The staff was easy to reach and incredibly helpful. Assisted us in scheduling Covid tests which was awesome. Do NOT Miss the turtles in Akumal Bay. Highlight of the trip!

Awesome place to stay!
My family had a wonderful time staying here early November 2021. Rosemary is very easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions or needs. The place is even better than the pictures show and had everything we needed to have an amazing time. We enjoyed relaxing on the lounge chairs and hammocks on the balconies and down by the pool. We walked along the shore to Half Moon Bay where we felt like we had the beach to ourselves. La Buena Vida is a restaurant there with great food and a pool. We also walked from our place to Akumal Bay which was busier. We snorkeled with turtles there and enjoyed La Taverna, Turtle Bay Cafe, La Cueva del Pescador and Imelda's Ecocina. We drove to Chichen Itza, Ek Balaam and Cenote Xcan Che which was an awesome adventure day. And I loved the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary- but I really love animals! Covid testing for us was really easy. Rosemary directed us to a place in Tulum that was easy and affordable and we had our results emailed to us by the time we drove the 20 minutes back to Mi Casa. Overall, this place was perfect for us and I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful Location
The condo is beautiful and spacious. The daily cleaning by Maria was wonderful. We hired the chef to cook a meal one night and loved it! The Pool was so nice - we were usually the only ones there and we could just hang over the edge and watch the waves crash against the rocks. I’m rating the condo 5 stars, but our stay was disappointing due to the Sargassum. The lack of air conditioning in the living area meant we had to leave the doors open even though the seaweed smell was often overwhelming. With the humidity the floors were slippery wet. The nearby beaches were covered with the Sargassum and smelled bad as well, so our ideas of relaxing on the beach were not what we’d hoped. Even though the accommodations were nice, we would not choose to stay here again in the summer when the Sargassum is at its worse and humidity is high. Air conditioning in the living room would have made for a much better stay!

Awesome and Not Far Away
If your looking for a place that's not crowded, not to loud, but want to enjoy the convenience and close proximity of Tulum and Carmen De Playa, this is the spot. We enjoyed our stay, the views, even though it rained 5 of 7 days we were here, just the main bedroom and balcony views alone of the ocean. They also have stores and attractions near in walking distance. The Host was very communicative. We've had an awesome time here

Awesome Penthouse
This place is Amazing! This wasn’t our first time staying at Mi Casa Del Mar just first time in Penthouse…. My Family really enjoyed the property… It was spacious and very accommodating…. Only had one issue with power/water outage for few hours but property manager worked on getting the problem fixed … Maria the housekeeper was fantastic as well, she took care of any extras we needed, she kept everything sanitary…

The condo is perfect and the view from the condo is unparalleled! I can't explain how wonderful the outside deck is with the view and space to relax. The interior of the condo is very nice and well kept. Plenty of items for your use from coolers to snorkel equipment. The master bedroom is great and the outdoor shower is even better! We decided to stay an extra day and Rosemary hooked us up quickly, her response was prompt and very helpful. Thank you for the help, much appreciated and we will be back.

We left almost everyday to explore the Cenotes, beaches and Near by Tulum and when we returned our home for the week was impeccably cleaned by Maria. Panoramic ocean views galore!
Truly a stunning home. There is almost more deck space than interior space. Other reviewers mentioned that the lack of ac in the main house was an issue in the summer - we were there during January and found the breezes through the open sliding doors to the terrace to be wonderfully cool. We didn't use the ac in the rooms the whole trip and just left all the windows open to the night air and the sound of the waves. We were very lucky to have calm seas during our stay and actually snorkeled/swam from the tiny rocky cove below the communal pool all the way over to Half Moon Bay and La Buena Vida. We saw turtles, rays, squid, and hundreds of the usual reef suspects like blue tangs etc... We agree with the other reviewers that Maria is amazing! She indulged our attempts to have conversations in Spanish and was generally just a really lovely person. It was also such a novelty to have the house cleaned while we were there - we are used to renting homes without this feature. We also highly recommend both Turtle Bay Cafe and La Buena Vida. The former was kind enough to let us watch the Grammys at their bar and even stayed late to we could watch to the end. The latter was our home base on beach days for margaritas on the sand and a spot for a towel while we spent hour snorkeling Half Moon Bay.
