Feriehuse i Acadia Mountain Trailhead

The rental was perfect for our family of 3, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there was even a little grocery store less than a 1/4 mile down the road. It was about a 25 minute drive to get to most of the big Acadia sites since they are on the other side of the Island, like the Jordan Pond House, Thunder Hole, and Sieur De Mont.However, we considered that a good thing because it was much quieter and relaxing out in Southwest Harbor. "This was a great cabin, beautiful views and overall fun experience with the kids. The loft area is a little small for four of us so we ended up sleeping two in the loft and two on the main floor. Prepare yourselves for the mosquitoes! I wish we had more time to kayak, but we did have s'mores at the fire pit and cooked our own lobsters. "

We had everything we needed and was able to take a five minute drive to a nearby IGA for food and supplies, and had lovely restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the short drive to the bottom of Long Pond for hiking and a peaceful, beautiful place to read and sit to start and end our days. The campground was just so peaceful and beautiful.
