Overall stay was fine, nice room very comfortable bed - had a peaceful nights sleep both nights during our stay. The hotel has recently been renovated I think and everything was clean and tidy. However the biggest letdown was the shower. Absolutely awful water pressure. Might sound petty, but it’s enough to put me off staying at the hotel again unfortunately. For me personally there’s nothing more frustrating than going to wash my hair and finding that the shower is hopeless. Took so long trying to rinse my hair I finally gave up and stuck my head under the mixer tap on the sink - which had fantastic water pressure. So not really sure what’s going on there. Cannot say if this is the case in all of the rooms.
Breakfast was good, nice selection, with good coffee and bacon. Negatives - no fresh eggs or mushrooms which is always a shame, and no oat milk.
Location was good, if you don’t mind walking. Roughly a 10/15 minute walk in to the center. Car park was small and we ended up having to park about 7 minutes away from the hotel and paying £25 a day! Very expensive and you should take this in to account if you are booking on the bases that the hotel will have parking at a reduced rate.
