You could also visit popular market towns like Pickering (7.5 miles) and Helmsley (6 miles). Book a ticket aboard the North Yorkshire Steam Railway in Pickering for a memorable experience passing through breath-taking scenery and pretty stations all the way to Whitby. The beautiful Castle Howard (12 miles) is also well worth a visit or a 25-mile drive east will take you towards the rugged Yorkshire coastline with its long sandy beach at Scarborough.

Step inside this sweet yet inviting converted barn, designed for couples or singles wanting a peaceful retreat in a tranquil location, and find yourself surrounded by countryside. You will find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where a welcome package for you and your dog awaits. The kitchen area has an induction hob, two microwaves so you never need to wait for your meal, and a fridge. Fancy a night off from the kitchen? Dinners and breakfast can be arranged directly with the owner. Relax on the comfy sofa in the lounge area with your pooch and listen to some soft music on the Bluetooth speaker or watch a film on the TV. Take your meal to your table or perhaps dine alfresco on the rustic banch and table. The bedroom has a king-size bed waiting to give you a blissful night's rest. Start your day with a refreshing shower in the en-suite shower and WC.

You have a designated seating area, set beside the farmhouse vegetable garden: pefect for watching the local wildlife. Or sit on the bench in the courtyard with your morning coffee and feast your eyes on the lucious green Yorkshire countryside. There is also the use of a shared billiards room and tennis court available. Parking is provided for one car.
