"This is a lovely hotel with loads of character. The room we had was spacious with a separate seating area. The breakfast was OK, nothing special but it was fine. They say it starts at 7:30, but we went down earlier one day as we wanted an early start and others were already eating.
It’s a shame that the spa is permanently closed.

I searched through many city centre hotels in Chengdu before booking this one. The pictures of the hotel and the reviews made it stand out. However, it was so much better than the pictures conveyed. "This hotel is built in the grand luxury style with very large well fitted out guest rooms. Very comfortable and welcoming hotel near the Chengdu Hi-Tech industrial zone.
The only fault is that the guest rooms are not fitted with universal power outlets that take all plugs - I was travelling with a UK laptop and could not charge the laptop, and enquiries at the front desk indicated that the hotel did not have adaptors for loan - this maybe have been a "lost in translation" issue.
