"a very good value for money option for those wanting to stay near glasgow. Reasonable commute by car to the city (1/2 hour or so) - suggest you go the more Country route. Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. (though the birds can get noisy for a bit - nothing the property can do about that though). Sheep in the garden ! Recommended."

"The actual room was fairly clean with a decent shower and toilet and good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. Quite a bit of traffic noise from the main road. The building and surroundings are very run down, I wasn't even sure the pub was open to go in and collect the key as the windows had bars on them and the hanging sign was empty. Needs a bit of a paint job. Parking was dodgy, surrounded by bins, rubbish and just not very clear where to park."

"Great place for an overnight stay or two. Easy to find ample parking either on street or to the rear of the property. Great little place, decent clean and well kept. Room was comfortable and slept well. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and easy check in and out."

"The only thing positive to say about this is the location, if you are going to a match at Hampden Park. The place is worn and loud. The socalled double bed was 140 at best. Front-desk staff met us with a child on her arm. Cannot recommend this place. "

"Absolutely unbelievably appalling check inn! Nobody was present at the reception and the guests started queuing to check inn. Tried phoning the hotel with no luck. There was several of the guests - us included - who had other arrangements to attend. After 15-20 minutes the receptionist came back seemingly surprised at the que. She’d been out to buy food so it seemed. The manager should at least have provided a cellphone so she could have been reached. Apart from that the room and breakfast was...
