"First, I was transferred to an "upgraded" room without any explanation or clear direction. So when we arrived I thought I had entered the wrong room because the place was trashed. I asked the host to call me and they just replied via the app instead because they knew I was there from the camera outside the door. I explained that someone must be staying in this unit because it was filthy and stuff was scattered all about. They didn't believe me of course until I started sending multiple pictures....

"The exterior photos and location are lovely, but I booked this stay to get a weekend breath after a death in the family and was devastated to arrive to an unfinished shack that had no running water, no insulation, cracks and holes in the walls with the roof patches falling in, and a wasp infestation! This is not the kind of stay that I would wish on my enemy. We froze all night, flight off spiders and yellow jackets returning to a missing nest, and were bothered by loose dogs that weren't listed...

"I never like giving anyone a dislike to a VRBO home. Driving 11.5 hours, to find this house not as describe. The house description said new house. This home is not a new house, the front yard had not been cut and tree limbs are in the front. There is no lighting in the driveway or up to the door. There were stains in the carpet, bedroom downstairs had dirty walls. Very disappointed. New bedding and not cheap bedspreads. IKEA beds with no cushion for mattress.
