There are numerous attractions on the doorstep including Bassenthwaite Lake, Dodd Wood, Ashness Bridge, The Lake District Wildlife Park, Whinlatter Forest with mountain bike and Gruffalo trails and Go Ape. There is walks from the door including Skiddaw and Blencathra offering breathtaking views of Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater beyond, the views to the north look out over the Solway Coast to Scotland.

Emilys Nook Ireby is in the centre of the village, located above the former village inn. This first floor apartment is modern and cosy with views of village and surrounding countryside from the comfort of your living room. An ideal base for a couple looking to explore the northern Lake District.
