"Large spacious and cosy house. Wonderful scenery around the village, the gateway to the Isle of Skye 20 minutes away, and what feels like the only chocolaterie in the whole of Scotland within walking distance. Of course, as almost everywhere in the Highlands, you should have a car with you, as public transport is not as frequent as you might be used to in cities."

"Home is lovely with a nice backyard in a quiet neighborhood with play area across the street. We could easily walk to grocery store and downtown Portree. There were some issues with maintenance while we were there, but that couldn’t be helped."

"Overall, the stay was great! The house was big and the host provided a lot of extra niceties. The only problem we had was inconsistent internet and wifi, but that is to be expected with a rural property. We also found the front door difficult to lock, although as Americans, we may have just not understood how the lock worked."

"This is a great house for a crowd with open, welcoming kitchen/living room with a view in an amazing isolated spot overlooking a beach along the NC500. Sheep in the front and the waterfall a wee walk in the back. Good spot for a family or a big group of friends (lots of twin beds, and nearly all rooms have private bath) with amazing facilities to feed a big group (two dishwashers, two fridges, good pots, pans etc). "This property was great! There were four adults that stayed and plenty of room to spread out (but not overly big). The bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful. The town of portree is adorable but we mostly explored the surrounding areas. Parking is also very easy. We would definitely stay again."

"We only stayed for 3 nights but enjoyed our time. We easily commuted to Skye each day for wonderful hiking, returning to a cozy home by the water. Anna was wonderful, there was an issue with the internet, we didn’t even know was a problem until she reached out with a plan to have it fixed. Before we returned from hiking she had dispatched her local contact to fix the issue. We loved the efforts Anna took to maintain the original feel of the home, while updating where necessary - best shower!!!...
