You will love Darkskies Vacation's new gem, "The Trading Post". A very lightly lived-in (100%) vacation home perfect for two couples or families seeking a peaceful escape and awe-inducing views. Enjoy breathtaking 200-degree panoramic views of the Wet Mountains and Sangre de Cristos from a very private, wrap-around deck.

HURRY: Low introductory rates for first ten reservations. Priced for COUPLES: Base rate is set for two guests. $25 per night for additional guests.

This hypoallergenic home features a unique blend of Silver Cliff's mining history, yet with all modern comforts such as a fully equipped kitchen, Starlink internet for remote work, and a relaxing southwestern/Texan decor. Two matching bedroom-bathroom suites and ample space are ideal for couples, or families with children. But no pets. That's a feature this hypoallergenic offering.

The home and surroundings make for a serene retreat, allowing families to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with each other amidst stunning natural beauty that photographs cannot capture.

And talk about quiet! It's 7+ blocks from the two highways that pass through Silver Cliff and Westcliffe.

Just across the street is the Park-to-Park Trail, a peaceful path through Silver Cliff to Westcliffe to the West. The towns are a certified Dark Sky Community. Westcliffe is known for its art galleries and local shops, especially coffee shops. Silver Cliff is known for its museum, parks and historic, and historic cemeteries, with headstones that glow on very dark nights. You will experience a culture that blends agriculture, history and art.

Stargazers frequent this Dark Skies Community to experience the wonders of the Milky Way, seasonal meteor showers, and stunning mountain scenery - day or night. New listing so book not to save your dates for the opportunity to create unforgettable memories for your family.

The Space:
Enjoy the convenience of ample off-alley parking. A few steps up to the deck and front door, which features a SmartLock with a unique code for each reservation.
The main floor offers a great room with a gas fireplace for warmth and ambiance. A bar-style, galley kitchen faces the living area, perfect for conversations while cooking. A full range is spices and staples is provide. Coffee maker in both levels. A cocktail-style table for four is just a step off the kitchen in a sun-filled nook with mountain views. The master bedroom with bathroom access, a full-sized washer/dryer and a generous pantry are also on the main floor.

The garden level features a second living area with a gas fireplace, a bedroom and bathroom similar to the master suite, and a similar walk-in shower. The family/entertainment room opens to a shaded patio with a small desk area and a wet-bar. A queen bed is placed in a nook off the family room, comfortable for an adult or smaller children. This level offers a cool escape from the sun in summer and warmth in winter.

Guest Access:
StarLink is and 30 AMP charging is included. You'll be booking the entire house, including a large washer/dryer set. Enjoy thoughtful amenities such as and BBQ grill, kitchen appliances.

StarLink Bandwidth is ample for the numerous (5) TVs* located in areas allow others in your group enjoy the mountain views in peace and quiet. You'll receive a door code three days before your arrival.

The base price is for four guests. Two more guests may be added for $25 per night per person.

The Neighborhood:
The Trading Post is located in a quiet, newly developed neighborhood with no though streets. The property is more than seven blocks away from either of the two state highways. Rest and relaxation is easy in such a safe and tranquil environment.

After decompressing and ready for exercise, walk across 4th Street to access a trails leading to Westcliffe and Silver Cliff's fine parks, shops, galleries, and museums. Or head 1/2 mile east on the Park to Park Trail to Silver Cliff's Community Park where you will find tennis courts, ball fields an even a skate park that is pretty impressive for such a small town. Westcliffe's Bluff Park is a brisk 30 minute walk.. to the west of course.

Altitude Fitness Center is a 12 minute walk (.6 mi) where day passes are available for $12. To speed your access, pre-fill AFC's new-guest form located in the pantry.

Getting Around:
This rural community allows ATVs to be driven from the property to trails as long as State Highways are crossed but not traversed.
Trading Post's little corner of Silver Cliff is ideal for walkers, runners, bikers, ATVers or traditional (automobile) drivers.

Entry and parking are located in the alley between Hudson Street and Franklin Street; the address is 315 4th St.

The third bedroom is a nook connected to the garden-level family room with a (queen-sized) day-bed and a small closet. Floor-space is limited (7' x 8 ') and the room opens up, ~4 feet wide, to the family room.

Caution for young families: Both bathrooms have showers (only) and the sinks are adult hight Farmers Sink surrounded by an ample vanity lip. Wee ones will need assistance.
