"Very nice well maintained hotel. Staff is great, too."

"We loved that this cabin is pet friendly! It is spaced out from the other cabins so it still feels private, but not secluded so we were still able to meet new people around the RV park. The pond on property is so beautiful and we loved being able to fish and kayak on it. This is a perfect location for a weekend camping getaway!"

"The cabon was great, we really got the quiet and peacefull time we were hoping. Fairly short drive to nice state parks in the area."

"The apartment is spacious, very clean, and comfortable. It features beautiful views of Elkader. The location is in easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and riverfront trail. I hope to stay again. "

"The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town!"

"When we arrived at 2, they seemed surprised & our room was not ready even though it said check-in was at 2. We had to wait an hour before it was ready. After settling in, we found poop on the base of the toilet, hair on the floor of the tub, & dead lady bugs in the window seal. After informing an employee, a room cleaner came & cleaned the things mentioned. Nothing was expressed about being sorry or was it mentioned during or after our 2-day stay. The only positive we can say about this place...

"The Nest was exactly what we wanted for Nordic Fest. Having reserved parking was a godsend. The apartment was clean and well appointed. All in all a great place to stay."

"Loved the spacious apartment style - easy to relax in one space while others slept in. Beds were comfy, temperature was perfect even during an Iowa heatwave. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. (coffee in the cupboard!) Off street parking was a really nice perk. We will definitely be back! Almost forgot! The Koreana Japanese restaurant downstairs - perfect for a late night snack! 😋 (Along with beers from Pulpit Rock & Topling)"

"Fun cozy and unique The setting couldn’t be more beautiful. Enjoyed the amenities."

"Very nice bunch of cottages, minutes from downtown (by car, and without having to use the main road, which is currently under construction). Convenient parking (in a lot) only steps from the unit. Very nice place."
