"With so many negative reviews regarding the size of the room, we paid extra for their bigger room. On arrival we received a friendly welcome and were shown to our room. The entrance to the rooms was having a mould problem, so an extractor had been installed and reed diffuser to mask the smell.

"The location is remote, peaceful and lovely. It's an old building and full of character with huge, comfortable rooms. All the staff were helpful. Breakfasts were a little limited, but adequate. We didn't enjoy the one dinner we had, but it was good value. Overall I'd recommend this hotel for its excellent value accommodation and location."
"The hotel was difficult to find as it’s a small door at the end of a building block. There is no parking, you need to use any of the city lots at £14 a week. Room was quiet and clean. Haystacks is an excellent cafe downstairs."
