Overall, happy with our stay, parking expensive but convenient. It seems like a relatively safe part of town, although there was a security guard sitting on the second floor outside the elevator all night for some reason. Guess that was reassuring but begs the question; why was he needed? Rooms average quiet, although one morning trying to sleep in and two cleaning ladies were literally shouting right outside of our door for 10 minutes, woke us up and they were making no attempt to show courtesy for people sleeping. I opened the door to find out why the noise and they just kept talking loudly and laughing. Front desk folks polite and helpful. Breakfast expensive but very good. Convenient location for sightseeing, metro a couple blocks away.

The only thing I liked about this hotel was that the beds were comfortable. The things I didn’t like was that breakfast is not included and neither is parking ($44 for every day you stay there!). I thought the location would be a good one because it’s in downtown DC but it really wasn’t all that convenient unless you literally just come to DC on a business trip. The hotel staff were kinda weird because I’d call them for a request and they would either put me on hold or hang up on me, but then the item I requested was delivered a bit later anyway. Check in was also a bit unpleasant as only one person was helping with that and we had to wait in line for quite a while. Oh, and the day that we were leaving I thought I’d make a quick stop down the elevator but that didn’t happen since the elevator never came because it was very congested in the morning. I ended up having to get help from staff on my floor who were very kind but that was a whole other ordeal.

The staff was great, but the rooms were dated and the elevators were almost always out of order. If they were functional, it would take almost ten minutes sometimes waiting to get one. Otherwise, the amenities were nice and the location was convenient.

Overall my stay at Crowne Plaza was fine. The bed was comfy, I slept like a rock, the staff was wonderful, and I was grateful for the shuttle to DCA. However, the room and bathroom were outdated and in need of a face lift. I definitely expected a more elevated feel in my room. It felt more like a Holiday Inn than a Crowne Plaza room. But again my time there was perfectly fine. Would stay again out of convenience and proximity to the airport.

The carpets were so dirty, the heating system in the room was so noisy - at night it starts like a tractor machine...the TV would not allow you to watch even YouTube, breakfast was the same for the nine days of my stay...

Location and Comfort!
I love the location and free airport shuttle. Staff are very helpful and friendly. My room was extremely comfortable and I enjoyed having a mini fridge in the room. With the Metro and a wonderful bakery nearby, it was a very convenient place to use as a base before going out to explore Washington DC.

Stay was overall wicked good, but only 1/3 elevators were working so being on the 11th floor and having to wait 10-15 minutes just for an elevator while trying to maintain a schedule wasn’t the easiest. Rooms were clean and food was good at on-site restaurants little pricey for out of towners
