"Absolutely beautiful cottage, really well presented. It was only a brief stay but I found it very peaceful, comfortable and I slept really well!! "Cosy, beautifully equipped cottage. Modern and well furnished in excellent order. Off road parking to rear of property. Excellent communication from owners with information on local amenities within the property. The White House pub serves excellent food and we would recommend this as a place to eat with great views. The property is close to the road and you do notice some commuter traffic noise in the morning if you live in a quiet area. Shops etc are a car trip. Would recommend."

"Becca and Tony made us feel very welcome, both before arrival and during our stay. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Some of the automatic, sensor lights seemed to take a bit of working out with some switches not in an obvious place.Tip: Take or buy a rubber mat for the shower rooms, especially if mobility is an issue.Very quiet and dark at night."

"This is our second stay at Oakwood Lodges. Smooth transaction from booking to check in and check out. All information provided prior to check in including a telephone call which I found helpful. Lodges are all unique in their own styles. Lodge was clean and everything provided from away from home. Very comfortable. We took the children this time and they loved the hot tub, game of pool and darts, we were all kept entertained."

"Had a wonderful time the lodge was gorgeous and very homely. I would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet week away. The hot tub was amazing and the bath with the LED lights was such a nice touch. The only small thing was that the toilet light was on a sensor and kept turning off while we were in there. But other than that a beautiful place to stay."

"Well thought out cottage design very well presented but testing for size - just an extra 5% of space would yielded 20% increase in convenience and enjoyment. Hosts and neighbours are excellent. Parking is unusual but workable. As a couple (one Aussie and one Aussie born in Yorkshire) we really enjoyed our time at this cottage and would highly recommend it. Walk to village is 10 minutes and huge number of attractions within 40 mins."

"The staff at the hotel was lovely, and the park which surrounds the hotel is beautiful. We ate at hotel several times, and the food was good. On Saturday, there was a wedding party right outside the window, which went on till midnight. Maybe it would have been better to put wedding guests in the rooms on that side of the building."
