"We did enjoy our stay overall, though I was a bit surprised by the stellar reviews after seeing the property in person. The house was clean and had everything we needed during our visit. That said, we did find the beds, pillows, and bedding to be uncomfortable, and the center supports on all three beds appeared to be disconnected from the frames.There were a few minor maintenance and stocking issues, such as some peeling wallpaper, some missing or burned-out lightbulbs, and an empty body wash...

"We were a Red Hat Ladies group of 5 women of a “certain age” who came to Schulenberg to see the Painted Churches. The house was the perfect place for us to stay since it is located just a short distance from the Chamber of Commerce where the tour started! Also, the house is located right across from the police department:). All five of us enjoyed the “Victorian” decor and home.
