The Spark by Hilton offers a budget-friendly beachfront location, but the overall experience falls short for guests seeking comfort and convenience. Check-in on New Year’s Day involved long waits with limited staff, and parking was inconvenient, requiring a walk across the street with luggage.
The hotel appears clean but dated, with visible wear such as rusted elevators and patchwork repairs on walls and floors. While the room size was adequate and the shower and toiletries were above average, several issues impacted the stay. Upon arrival, the room was not fully prepared, the TV remote was missing and the replacement did not work, and the bathroom sink was clogged. The bed was particularly uncomfortable, with a thin mattress and poor pillows, leading to soreness after sleeping.
Breakfast options were minimal, consisting mainly of bagels, muffins, and hard-boiled eggs.
Overall: This hotel may suit younger travelers focused on price and beach access, but it is not recommended for families or older adults due to comfort and maintenance concerns.
