All tours and transfers picked us up and dropped us off. Lush garden like setting with stylish lodge. Felt like home away from home. "

"Phil, the owner was incredibly gracious and welcoming and provided great information about the area and the history. The Concierge team was great - very knowledgeable about everything that we asked. Breakfas was great. While not next to the falls, it is in a very quiet area and quite easy and cheap to get to/from by taxi. Great value for the cost."

Being a small establishment meant we had wonderful care and attention. We walked to the town and Falls, but got the hotel vehicle to collect us for the slight incline back. "Shrub Lodge is situated just out of town but the ability of the staff make it easy for you to get to and from any activity. All providers of activities happily picked you up and dropped you home. The friendliness of the people of Victoria Falls was great. If you want a nice quiet clean room then the Shrub Lodge is great. "

"We had a lovely stay. The staff were very pleasant. It is a small property - about 8 or 10 rooms in all and very good value for money. If all you want is a spacious room, with a large and comfortable bed then look no further. They serve a nice fixed breakfast but if you want a fully stocked bar with beer and spirits you will be out of luck. That for my wife and I was is a very minor issue as we were eating out every night. "

"We all had a great stay at the Rainbow hotel Vic Falls. The rooms were nice, and we spend some time at the pool bar. Also the restaurant served some good food both for breakfat but also the buffet for dinner was nice. We got to taste some of Afrikas animals :-)."

"Buildings itselfs look fine, garden area ok. but an incredible noisy hotel, both around the rooms, and especially in the restaurant. The staff in the restaurant was none existing, we had to ask for everything or even get it ourselves as this was faster. Dinner order for 2 dishes took 1½ hour and when it finally arrived it was cold. The following evening we ordered 2 different dishes out of 6 possibilities from the menu, but was told that these had not been served for several months. Badly...

"Stayed at one of the tents for 1 night, which was great. It got very cold at night and was shizering from 4-7 in the morning. Ablutions are basic. There was hot water but it would often trickle but still provided a warm shower. Very close to center of town, food, drinks, a grocery store, and nice 20 minute walk to the falls."
