The other thing that I didn't realize is that the house is just open to the basement - there's no door. That may not bother some, but it was a little odd for me, coming from an area that doesn't even have basements. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cabin! It was well stocked and very clean. The hosts were very friendly. Scott met us when we arrived and welcomed us. We were also able to see some gorgeous sunsets! It was the perfect little place to relax after long days of exploring this beautiful area!"

"Our stay at Bourbon Barrel Cottages was perfect! The cottage was beautiful, landscape was gorgeous, just perfect! "

"A quick stop over on the bourbon trail during a cross country road trip with my service dog. This place could not have been better! Impeccably clean, great communication from hosts, everything you can think of is readily available - and beds so comfortable. I will be back (with others - did not realize there were essentially three master suites as all rooms are HUGE and very well equipped). Backyard is amazing and I wish we could have enjoyed it with better weather, but the convenience alone...

"Pictures accurately display the beauty of this quant cottage. Hosts Judith and Lindsay were excellent and quick responding to questions. We came into town for the bourbon festival so we didn’t have much time on property. But this cottage was between Bardstown and Frankfort where we spent most of our time. It is a bit off the beaten path which was a nice get away from the tourist areas for the distilleries. We loved this place and would stay here again. 10/10. "
