Whale’s Tail is a comfortable main-floor studio suite designed to make exploring Ucluelet easy.

The open layout includes a queen bed, a new queen sofa bed, and a cozy living area with an electric fireplace - great for relaxing after a day on the trails or beach. The pull-out couch isn't your typical sofa bed - it's an ultra high-end piece featuring a high quality memory foam mattress for a genuine mattress-level comfort, and an effortless one-pull operation that converts it in seconds. Guests are consistently surprised at how well they sleep on it.


The kitchenette includes a cooktop, small fridge, sink, and cooking essentials, making it easy to prepare simple meals during your stay. Many guests mention how thoughtfully equipped the kitchen is compared to similar studio spaces.

The bathroom was recently renovated with a new shower. Decorated with local artwork, the suite reflects the supernatural West Coast vibe of Ukee.

Ucluelet is a small seaside town surrounded by wilderness. Please do not leave any food or garbage outside! Bears and other wildlife frequent the neighbourhood, be cautious of your surroundings, lock entry and vehicle doors, and it’s a good idea to carry bear spray.
There is also a majestic family of eagles located in the large tree above so please be mindful of small children and pets.

★ THE DRIVE TO UCLUELET ★
Portions of the drive to Ucluelet have limited reception and limited gas stations or stores. Plan to fill up in Port Alberni - the last major hub for your grocery/supply/restaurant needs before you reach the town. You can also get groceries and gas in town when you arrive.
