“Anchor on The Bowsprit” is only 7 minutes from the Gold Coast International airport. It’s central to both the Gold Coast and the Northern Rivers NSW. A perfect location to access a range of enjoyable activities.

You have your own private beach, fishing off our pontoon and kayaking gear to enjoy. Also a place to launch and store your boat, ready to access the Tweed River. Please see dimensions below.

“Anchor on The Bowsprit” is a large, private, lockable, light and inviting space. It has all the comforts of home, with every extra thing you could possibly need.
Access is by stairs to the second level of our home. Paul and I live downstairs in our own private space.
The large balcony overlooks the canal and has relaxing sun lounges, barbecue, table and chairs.
Side access for small boats to launch into the canal. A pontoon to fish from, or to feed the fish your scraps. Your own beach and kayaks to enjoy.
Floor Area is 103.0 m2. Balcony Area is 35 m2.
Free parking for two vehicles on the property with your own private entrance and self check in. Enjoy the entire space upstairs and have side access to the boat ramp, beach and pontoon. There is a Porta Cot, Full length bed rail for a King Single bed, High chair and safety gate for the top of the stairs. We welcome young families with a variety of toys, games, books, DVD’s and baby/ toddler dinner ware.

We have two adult and two children size kayaks with life jackets and paddles. Storage for two E bikes and some fishing and picnic gear to borrow.

Boat access to launch at the side of the property is restricted to the following maximum dimensions of trailer and boat.
Width: Maximum 2.5 meters
Height: Maximum 2.29 meters

Children and non swimmers should be supervised at all times.

I really liked the neighborhood we stayed in. There were a lot of dogs around though and there are 2 in the house downstairs that bark alot. When the owner leaves the dogs bark all the time. There is construction going on across the water but that has nothing to do with the rental place other than the noise you hear. There were a lot of amenities in the house that i liked but some things were sub par for example sinking into the bed and the sheets are yellow not white.There was a storm a few nights before we left and the roof leaked. We told the owner about it and he said it would be fixed again after we left. I bought some cleaning products to clean the place as we stayed a while and there was nothing to use. plplace.cleanprodpar.place..

My husband and I stayed at Karen's apartment. It has everything you need to get away without going out all the time. Easy access to getting there. Would highly recommend it for anyone to stay.

Perfect for my brother and me. Even the drizzly weather didn’t bother us. We were not on holidays but in Tweed to visit our Mum in a nursing home.

The property and location was amazing, there was no detail overlooked, it had everything you need for a long stay and more. My family and I had an amazing stay, the beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the beauty of the sunsets and sunrises from the balcony were stunning.... we even got to see dolphins at dusk on the kayaks provided at the property. Not to mention the hosts were lovely and extremely accommodating. Thank you Karen and Paul for allowing us to stay at your property, it was an experience the kids will remember for a long time, they already miss the friends they made next door and cannot stop talking about the dolphin experience. 10/10 stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Karen and Paul's property. We were travelling for a weekend wedding at Carool which was an easy 20 minute drive away. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment contained everything we could need. Highly recommended.

Clean, well presented and comfortable unit. Host is very friendly and accommodating. Has thought of all the extra's from toiletries to fishing and kids toys. We were so pleased with our stay, would love to stay again on our next visit! Thanks Karen.

Karen and Paul operate a quintessential short-term rental...the 'penthouse suite', as we called it. Clean, bright and airy with a view, it was a comfortable stay we were sad to leave. Highly recommended.

We never ended up using all the facilities. But was a beautiful place. So welcoming. Me and the kids enjoyed our time immensely and happy stay again if we come back this way
