"Charming hotel great for some alone time with your partner. Went during off season so only three other couples staying there and never rant into all of them at the same time. Parking is easy and free and location is very accessible to the National Park and close to dinner locations. Rooms a bit on the outdated side but does not matter when you are only there to sleep."

"Very nice apartment for a family of 4. The building is under construction/remodeling, but this was no problem at all. Good parking, nice pool at el Faro, very delicious breakfast at el Faro and just 100 meters from the entrance to the park. Would recommend a stay here."

"This place was the perfect way to end our honeymoon trip to Costa Rica. Loved how eco conscious this hotel was. It was a beautiful, quiet stay tucked away in the jungle with close access to the beach. The monkeys paid us a visit on the patio and we heard them around the hotel, which was a pretty cool experience! Friendly/helpful service, convenient location (5-minute walk to the beach, 15-minute walk to the National Park) but set apart from the really busy areas, decent restaurant, rooms are fine with a fridge and coffee machine. We were on the top floor and woken up by playful monkeys running around the rooftops in front of our balcony - very fine! "

Those bathrooms/showers are shared by all in the hostel, including those with private rooms (which was fine, never had to wait to use facilities).
