"Everything with this property was perfect for our stay. Being from the USA, I found it took a bit of getting used to it, but everything worked perfectly. It was a quiet neighborhood with access to the greenway that ran by the river, which was awesome. "Our extended family of 8 stayed here just last week (July 2025) & it was perfect for us. 6 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms plus lots of room inside & out. Peaceful location - you can walk to the cafe on the beach for breakfast. A car is recommended for trips into Cairns. Place has aircon as well as fans. Comfy beds. It was great."

"What a little gem. 3 of us in our 60s had a lovely relaxing week. Some attention to detail would have been helpful. The shower is over the bath which was very challenging for my husband after 2 knee surgeries and would have been good to know in advance. I enjoy a soak in a bath, but there was no plug. We couldn't find any scissors in the utensils drawer so opening food packaging was challenging. As I said, just little details. Location was great, lovely neighbours and we would happily stay...

"We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the “Gecko”. We were so happy to be able to bring our Cavoodle with us for our short stay & he was well catered for. Each of the cottages are fully fenced which makes it easy for pets to play outside. The cottage was very comfortable & fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location was fabulous with the beach just across the road. Highly recommend Cassawong Cottages."
