Island Sky is the perfect waterfront getaway, a charming cottage perched just off Mount Desert Island in Trenton. This home has it all. Two decks to choose from, a spacious and comfortable living room with sweeping water views, and the mountains of Acadia in the distance. Enjoy swimming and kayaking during high tide, or drive into the park for some hiking. Finish your day enjoying spectacular views from the comfort of Island Sky!

FIRST FLOOR: Bright kitchen with everything for your cooking needs (recently renovated in 2022!). Closet with washer/dryer. Bathroom with shower. Kitchen opens into a spacious living room with sweeping water views, plentiful and comfortable seating and a large flat screen television.

SECOND FLOOR: Spacious bedroom with King bed, AC unit and ceiling fan, and a small closet.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Two decks, one facing the driveway with seating for two. Larger water-facing deck with a gas grill, and table with seating for two. Just off the deck is a grassy lawn with plentiful outdoor seating. Babbling brook nearby and a path down to the water with easy access for swimming or kayaking. Please note that this waterfront is tidal and is dry at low tide, so plan any water activity accordingly.

NOTE: AC in the living room and 2nd-floor bedroom. Please let us know in advance if you need the high chair, pack'n'play, or baby gate.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage proved to be far beyond our expectations. It is very clean and beautifully decorated. We looked forward to returning there each evening after our daytime outings. We would definitely enjoy staying there again!

This was our second stay at Island Sky and we were so glad to be back! This cottage is so lovely, well appointed and comfortable. It’s close to all the attractions that Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor have to offer but just off the beaten path enough to provide peace and quiet. Watching the sunrise from the deck is an amazing way to start your day! We had a wonderful visit and hope to return again next year.

The house was lovely! We had beautiful views and enjoyed watching the wildlife- we say eagles, seals, and a lot of seagulls! The house was clean and comfortable. The perfect size and spot for a couple. The kitchen was nicely stocked. We also had another couple over for a dinner several times and there was space for hosting small dinner parties. I had a minor "dental emergency" during the trip; a crown popped off and went down the drain. We called the rental company and the owner came over and retrieved it from the sink the next day. A wonderful visit and great hosts!

Our favorite place!

This was the nicest place we have ever stayed. Everything about it was perfection: the view, the decor, the amenities, kitchen supplies, extra pillows on the bed, extra blankets in the house, in addition to being spotlessly clean. We would love to stay here every year.

Near Perfection

Island Sky was perfect for my husband and me. It’s cute, clean and cozy. The location is great. The scenery changes constantly with the rise and fall of the tides which is fascinating. Sunrises and moonrises were breathtaking. The house was equipped with everything we could have needed. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is the mattress. That mattress needs an update for sure. Besides that, I would highly recommend Island Sky to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Perfect, Clean Cottage by the Water

House is wonderfully located, clean, and well stocked. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. One of the cleanest and well kept VRBOs we have stayed at. Enjoyed our first time in Maine!

Gorgeous!

Perfect place to enjoy privacy, views and a serene place to start and end each day. The views, surrounding, decor, porches, lawn.. were all perfect. There was ample space to relax outdoors, but the provision of some outdoor activities, such as cornhole, a fire ring, would have been nice, to provide ways to more fully enjoy the outdoor spaces of this property!

Bar harbor get away

We were so happy to find Island Sky for a last minute trip. The house was so cozy with amazing water views! Great for bird watching. House was beautifully decorated. One set back was the one bathroom was on the first floor and the bedroom was upstairs. Great cottage for 2 people!

Great location and wonderful time. The agents were great especially when we forgot to bring the keys with us the first time we left and had to call on a Sunday evening to get in! Beautiful, clean, well maintained place with the nicest amenities I have ever encountered at a VRBO. The fridge had a filtered water dispenser inside which we loved since we normally buy water on vacation and the freezer made ice. Had our 2 young kids with us and we did a couple of the puzzles there and our kids loved the shore at low tide. We brought an air mattress with us for them and it worked perfect! Beautiful sunrises!! Thank you for sharing your spot with us!

Wonderful Acadia Retreat!

Island Sky is an amazing waterfront cottage with stunning views of Acadia National Park. From the moment we got there, it felt just like home. The place is super clean, beautifully decorated with that perfect coastal Maine vibe, and has everything you could need for a week long stay. It’s tucked away down a quiet road, making it the perfect escape from the busy Bar Harbor, yet it's only about a 15-minute drive to the park and the town. The views are absolutely beautiful, and there are plenty of outdoor spots to sit and enjoy the peaceful waterfront sights of Mt. Desert Narrows. We loved having our morning coffee while planning our hiking in Acadia. Then after a full day of hiking, the cottage was fully equipped to make dinner, enjoy the serenity, and talk about our day. The location is awesome, just a short distance from the bridge to Acadia, making our daily trips to the park and Bar Harbor super easy. Plus, there are plenty of lobster pounds nearby, which added to the whole Maine experience. All in all, Island Sky has everything you could want in a vacation rental. It’s clean, has stunning views, and is equipped with all the amenities you need. We loved our stay and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

Perfection!

This cottage is all that it seems and more! It’s very clean, vey well appointed with everything that you could need and so comfortable. It was really like coming home at the end of the day. It’s centrally located to all that the area has to offer. We enjoyed our stay and plan on returning in the future!

Island Sky is magical

This may be the most relaxing place in the world. The view is to die for and the cottage includes everything one could ever need. This is our second trip and we feel so fortunate to be able to stay in this wonderful cottage.

Great Little Place

We had a wonderful stay at Island Sky! The property had beautiful water views and great amenities! We also enjoyed the sound of the little creek that runs along the side of the property. You are close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia(about 15 minutes) and there are a lot of lobster pounds very near by!😁😍 We truly enjoyed our stay!

Paradise by the Shore

Island Sky is the ideal cottage for vacationing couples. The cottage is perfectly decorated and has all the amenities of home. The view is incredible along with the multiple outdoor seating areas to enjoy it. The quiet tranquility of the cottage and Trenton is a great reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. We absolutely loved spending time each morning enjoying the view while having coffee and planning our daily adventures then returning to Island Sky in the evening to reminisce about the memories made that day.
