Dejligt hotel i lækkre omgivelser
Hotellet har en super lækker strand hvor man let kan bade fra. Derudover, kan man billigt lege snorkling udstyr og på ingen tid er man ude at snorkle. Poolen er ligeledes rigtig lækker, og det er muligt at tage på gå ture direkte fra hotellet. Generelt et lækkert sted for total afslapning - ikke mange aktiviteter for børn Desværre var der 3 dage hvor man kun kunne få buffet til aftensmad og den var 3. gange så dyr som retter på det allerede lidt dyre menukort.

A Serene Escape at Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort, Tioman Island Our recent stay at Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort on Tioman Island was nothing short of spectacular. The resort boasts stunning scenic views of the bluish turquoise sea, perfectly contrasted by the majestic, mountain-like hill inland. The natural beauty of the surroundings provided a serene and picturesque backdrop that set the tone for a truly relaxing getaway. Visiting during a period of low occupancy added to the peaceful ambiance, allowing my wife and I to fully unwind and enjoy the tranquility. The resort offers a range of sea-related activities, ensuring there's always something exciting to do. One of the highlights of our trip was night snorkeling – a unique experience that allowed us to explore the underwater world without the worry of sunburn. It was an unforgettable adventure that added a special touch to our stay. While the resort has only one restaurant, the variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations. There were numerous choices to suit different tastes, making each meal a delightful experience. Overall, Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort is an excellent choice for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Der Ort ist absolut paradiesisch und das Personal sehr nett. Das Meer, der Wald, die Tierwelt sind großartig. Leider ist die Infrastruktur in die Jahre gekommen. Besonders am Pool gibt es keine Bar mehr und Liegen und Sonnenschirme sind alt. Dennoch hat es uns sehr gut gefallen, da zu sein.

Excellent location nice staff this is for a quiet time out of the hectic city . The area is limited in activities and a max of 4 days would be enough to spend there. Some of the cottages are a bit run down . Definitely worth doing

This is a remote sight to enjoy the beach, relaxing and to just slow down. And you can go diving or snorkeling from the property. Very enjoyable.

amazing setting. beautiful beachfront room a few metres from the beach and sea. all of the team looked after us so well and are having to work so hard to get everything up and running again as tourism opens up again in Asia. Thankyou so much for a wonderful week.

I would recommend this resort. Breakfast was just ok. However, my lunches and dinners were very tasty and well presented. I enjoyed swimming at the beach and pool and the reef off the resort was surprising good. Better than expected. There were some maintenance issues around the resort but with less revenue coming in, to address these issues, due to travel restrictions over the last 2 years I can forgive same. But one thing I do take issue with is that the resort recommended that I book my transfers through Blue Water Ferries. Please ignore this request. Blue Water Ferries boats are poorly maintained, dirty and overcrowded. Many of us questioned how Malaysian authorities still allow this business to operate. Instead take Cataferry. These boats look better maintained and comfortable.

Truly appalling experience.We left after 1 night into a 6 night stay. And NO REFUND Very poor food. No veggie option on menu.Terrible service (grossly understaffed) although the few staff that were there were very professional Zero connectivity, 0.02 mb/s download speed in lobby. We accept this is a retreat but being able to use WhatsApp would be nice Finally. There had been an oil spill 3 days prior to our arrival so we came out of the sea looking like Dalmatians. Avoid until they get their act together. The location is truly idyllic. Shame about the experience.

정말 좋았어요.
페리도착시간 전에 피켓을 들고 기다리고 있던 직원덕분에 헤매지 않고 너무나 잘 왔어요. 바다는 밀물,썰물로 바다도 되었다가 갯벌도 되었다가..그야말로 아이들의 천국!! 배낚시도 하고 잡아온 물고기는 주방에서 요리도 해주심.. 하지만 저녁부페의 메뉴는 다소 부족한듯.. 가는 날은 페리시간에 맞춰 레이트 체크아웃도 무료였음.. 아이들이 너무 행복해했던 여행이었음..

산호해변이라 예쁜 산호를 실컷 봐서 좋았어요 ,너무 예뻐요 깨끗하고 모기가 없었답니다. 그런데 아침에 음식이 좀 부실했어요 조리된 음식이 좀더 추가 됐으면 좋겠어요

I stayed at Tunamaya with a friend. It was a great trip especially because the activity offer is quite broad. In general tunamaya is good for trip with friends but also as a Romaric getaway.

Utterly beautiful
A beautiful, remote place to unwind and relax. The beach is perfect, white sand and turquoise sea, a bit rocky to enter, but there are rock-free spots too (water shoes are recommended). Great for snorkelling (sharks included, but don't expect to see many, I saw a baby one and one other person saw the adult one). The resort organises snorkelling trips to other places which are worth exploring. There were some hiccups with communication with some of the staff (English is not their first language) but overall they are all very friendly and helpful. Purified water is available free of charge and the place is kept clean and tidy at all times. The nearest village is about an hours' walk away through the jungle (with another hour away to a waterfall), both worth visiting. If you're looking for night life and exceptional culinary experience, you won't find it here. But if you like reading, walking, swimming, snorkelling, beach tennis, volleyball and beautiful scenery - this place is perfect.

Recharging all your batteries at Tunamaya.
Second time at Tunamaya for us. Surrounding area is magnificent. The resort is situated beautifully at Southern end of the Island. Staff is really making everything in their powers to satisfy your needs. Very natural, happy and eager to ensure your stay is the best. As everything in this climate it takes its toll on buildings and rooms and with sandy beach only 10m from your room entrance of course some sand is brought with you but staff do it’s outmost and it’s always kept tidy and clean. So quiet and enjoyable. We will for sure be back again.

Very quiet and nice view. Beach is super beatiful and good for kids. Hotel stuff is very kind. Food is also good quality but less choice. One of room got aircon spoil but night time is cool so no need. Recommend to stay

Lovely beach resort
Lovely place to relax and enjoy the views, or get active with swimming, snorkelling and jungle treks. Great snorkelling right off the beach. We also booked a 1 day boat trip from the hotel and went to two fantastic snorkelling sites. The two-hour trek to Asah waterfall is well worth the effort. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, excellent views from the bar and restaurant and a good range of food and drink choices, to suit all tastes. The infinity pool is a great place to swim and sun bathe if you don't fancy going into the sea. The monkeys will keep you entertained, but don't leave your doors open unless you want visitors! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach holiday on a beautiful island.

Grössere Anlage mit allem Komfort und Tauchschule
Direkte Strandlage, sehr persönlicher Service mit supernetten Mitarbeitern. Die Bungalows am Strand sind teilweise doppelt, heisst Nachbargeräusche können vorkommen, das passiert in der hinteren Reihe nicht (300er Nummern). Jeder hat eine überdachte Terrasse, grosses Bett und schönes Duschbad. Das Restaurant ist für die isolierte Lage ausnehmend gut, Weinkeller Spitze. Tauchlehrer ist Russe, trotz leichter Kommunikationsprobleme merkt man die jahrelange Erfahrung. Kurse sind praktisch gut durchgeführt. Wunderschöne Reviere in der Nähe. Die Drachenhörner liegen gleich dahinter, wer bei 30 Grad Berge erklimmen möchte...Wasserfallswalk ist lohnenswert. Hausriff mit kleinen Haien und Tellerkorallen. Affen und grosse Baumhörnchen im Dschungel hinter der Anlage, sehr naturnah.

Dopo una settimana a Singapore ci rechiamo a tioman per trascorrere qualche giorno di vacanza al mare. ero un po preoccupato per alcune recensioni dell'isola e della spiaggia ma direi che la cosa è stata totalmente smentita. personale ottimo , ristorazione tutto sommate buona (considerando che siamo su una isola in Malesia e con gusti non certo Italiani, ma addirittura a qualsiasi ora c'era la disponibilità di ordinare la la pizza e la pasta tutto sommato non male. Cortesia e disponibilità del personale hanno fatto il resto Mare fantastico e spiaggia non grande ma gradevolissima. panorama unico

Nice place but it's far and too isolated. Need to go by boat to visit the villages. Hotel food not so appetising especially for long stays. Not much facilities. No gym.
