"This is a friendly place with clean pleasant rooms and a nice breakfast. However, it isn’t really a hotel, more a pub offering bed and breakfast. When I booked it advertised a restaurant, but this had closed down by the time we arrived, and we had to book dinner in a sister hotel nearby. Not a big issue, but as there are only two restaurants in town you have to book early. We found here that like many places in Orkney there seems to be a serious staff shortage. "The hotel check in was quick and easy. No elevator though. The staff was excellent especially the two young men in the restaurant. They were excellent in every way. Book this hotel early they fill up quick with bus tours. There is a few restaurants nearby if you want a change but Brae Hotel dinner menu changes daily. They also worked with my wife's food allergy."

"Our stay was great. We were delayed into town due to a canceled flight but Callum was there when we arrived and promptly showed us to our room. Our room was clean and sufficient for our needs. The area is good for walking around Wick. We didn’t have a chance to have a drink in the bar as it was closed the two evenings we were there. I would recommend and we plan to return again "
