"Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area."

"Dejligt sted i fredelige og rolige omgivelser. Fantastisk morgenmad. Vi håber dog, at hotels.com vil gøre bedre opmærksom på, at man skal kontakte stedet før ankomst, da man eller sikke kan komme ind. Vi ankom kl. 15 (indtjekningstid) og måtte stå ude i regnen i næsten en halv time, før vi blev lukket ind af nogle andre gæster, der tilfældigvis var der. Vi havde prøvet at ringe på hovednummeret, men der blev ikke svaret, så vi anede ikke, hvad vi skulle gøre. En af gæsterne havde et mobilnummer...

"Forget a bicycle made for two, Munnings is an Air b and B made for you. Situated in the historic village of Mendham with plenty of off road parking, the Lodge is a gem. Tracey and Paul were warm, welcoming and helpful hosts ( in spite of the fact they had not received my booking from VRBO!!) The area has plenty of historic towns and villages, ideal for sightseeing and walking. And by the way, the Lodge and is two minutes walk from a pub serving excellent food."
