"Very nice cozy cabin, close to AT and trails, 30 minutes to Roanoke. Nicely appointed with kitchen items, seating etc. Driveway is steep and gravel with some concrete for traction at sharp turn and ok after a trip up and down but more of a challenge in the dark. Secluded and quiet and a great place to relax. Bring binoculars if you’re into birds, saw scarlet tanagers, ovenbirds, pileated woodpeckers +"

"Everything was perfect (as usual). We love staying at the old log cabin so much that we've been coming twice a year for 6 years! You can't go wrong with this place of you're looking for a peaceful getaway."

"The cabin felt clean and is nicely decorated. Kitchen is good. Beds are comfortable. A couple of new cabins being built in the same community so there were construction vehicles, workers, and noise. Would stay there again."

"Cedar’s Rest was the perfect place to stay overnight! We came down to Bedford as guests at a wedding and it was nice and close to the venue. The cabin was top notch!! We really enjoyed our visit to the D Day Memorial on Friday afternoon…definitely worth the visit!!"

"Squirrel's Nest is an absolutely charming cottage in a quaint town. Great location & perfect for our needs. We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area."

"Absolutely perfect stay. Everything is exactly as pictured. The bed is so comfortable, the shower and tub are divine. The creek is cool and refreshing. Bring firewood and charcoal, paper plates if you don't want a lot of dishes. Bring a good book and enjoy the view from the front porch. Lay under the stars. Relax. You are completely disconnected no service at all."

The host is wonderful and very quick to respond to questions. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch at dark watching the fireflies. It was a perfect relaxing getaway. "We enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the woods! Plenty close to all Natural Bridge attractions and not far from Lexington either! My husband and I and two kids (6 and 3) loved this area and the scenery and fresh air I it here. Sun room and sound of the brook was very peaceful. Beds were very comfortable and black out shades were on every window in master bedroom, including the upper windows, making a very comfortable night’s sleep. Spacious bedrooms too.
