Brad was a brilliant host & helped me have a really lovely stay. The hotel is a very short walk from the town centre & has all the features you could want. Would highly recommend.

Clean, smartly decorated welcoming and spacious
Very warm welcome from host. Really impressive walk up to entrance of building and equally nice once inside . Bedroom and bathroom all really clean and nice touches on the decor. Would definitely stop again if in the area

First visit to Tavistock
really nice place. I travel a lot for work so it is always a pleasure to find such a nice place to stay. Very clean and friendly place.

Classy Hotel
Tavistock House Hotel may be small but, so classy. Attention to detail in bed and public rooms, second to none. I especially appreciated fresh milk for my tea, rear car park and it overlooks the tennis courts so is quiet but close to the town centre.

The room was exceptionally clean . The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was incredibly delicious.

Amazing place to stay
What a superb place to stay. Everything was just perfect including an amazing breakfast. Parking is so easy at the rear of the hotel and all the local shops and bars are just a 5 minute walk away. The owners are very friendly and make for a top stay 👏

Great stay
Beautiful high-end hotel. Tasteful decor and very clean. Comfortable bed and equipped with beverages, fudge, biscuits, water and fresh milk! Close to town centre where there are plenty of places to eat. Travelling alone on business. Will definitely plan my next trip to the South West around Tavistock so that I can come back!

I had a fantastic stay at Tavistock House. My room was very comfortable and I had everything I needed. The owners are extremely kind and hospitable and the breakfast was excellent. The furnishings are modern and simple. The hotel was much better than I expected even though I had read other very positive reviews. Highly recomended.

A great stay
Well worthy of the 10/10 rating. Immaculate and characterful property, with friendly and welcoming owner. I had to leave early for work one morning before breakfast, I was greeted with a great take bag with breakfast goodies, they go the extra mile, would highly recommend.

Best place to dry in Plymouth
Brad and Gil were fabulous. I was greeted with a big smile and welcomed by Brad he is outgoing confident and makes you feel at home. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I stayed in the the king deluxe en-suite decoration and interior was superb. I thought the goody box of treats which include ‘biscuits’ ‘hot chocolate’ tea/coffee was a nice touch. The breakfast and lunch was superb I will certainly be coming back this is the ONLY place I will stay when visiting Plymouth - Omar brown

Wonderful small hotel
The entire experience was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located, the furnishings are lovely and the staff is outstanding. If your travels bring you to Tavistock, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful stay at Tavistock House Hotel the hotel is immaculate, rooms spotless very tastefully decorated modern and contemporary. The bed was so so comfy with the edition of Nespresso coffee machine and small bottle of port in the room we found this a nice touch. Breakfast excellent and they had alternatives to milk if required. The hosts are very friendly. It was nice to be able to park in their private car park. Now we have found this little gem we will definitely be back as soon as we can

Simply the best.
Absolutely incredible stay at this stunning hotel. Brad and Gill were exceptional hosts - very friendly, helpful and made our stay such a welcome one. The room was wonderful - very comfortable and spacious with plenty of amenities for a pleasant stay. Will certainly come back here and highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Tavistock.

Great stay
Stay was great. Really friendly owners, well decorated, cozy room. In room facilities were also great, lovely Tea's and Coffee's available during stay. Breakfast was well prepared and very tasty. I would recommend to any and everyone.

Fabulous Hotel
Bradley the owner couldn't have done anymore to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel has been refurbished to an excellent standard and is one of the nicer hotels i have stayed in over the last few years. Rooms are spacious, bed is very comfortable, shower is a rainfall type and large, and there are plenty of the usual amenities in the room to keep you comfortable and entertained. Breakfast was also very good and with the current Covid environment the table service was comparable to a top restaurant. Needless to say that i will stay here again.

We were both very impressed with the standards throughout the hotel. Dealing mainly with Brad we found him both friendly and helpful, along with a very enjoyable breakfast served by Jill we both agreed that they were the perfect hosts and we’d definitely look forward to saying at the Tavistock House Hotel again when in the area. Can’t recommend highly enough

This is a very beautiful hotel, run by absolutely lovely owners. Interior is tasteful and luxurious. Good location to explore Dartmoor and close to Tavistock restaurants.

Outstanding property at every touchpoint. From the modern rooms to the willingness of the owners to meet guest expectations, to the brilliant bed and linens, to the room amenities that match any five-star hotel, this was a wonderful stay. A great credit to the owners' makeover of this large town house - and a hotel of which Tavistock can be truly proud.

Very friendly welcome. The proprietor gave us excellent advice on a local gastro pub, which turned out to be spot on. The property is beautifully restored and presented. We would unreservedly recommend this hotel to anyone.
