Dan and Karen have a beautiful property !!! We were staying for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer We hung out in the pool a lot and we loved the umbrella table with seating under. We did see a dolphin just came up for a second but still exciting. If we are ever in the Tampa area again we would definitely stay here ... also they have a green light in the canal so at night we would go out on the dock to look at all the fish. All 5 who stayed gave this property 5 stars.

Had a wonderful escape from the cold weather at this lovely home in Apollo Beach. The house was updated nicely with a great pool and dock right outside. The sunsets at this place were stunning. The owners were wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend this rental.

The house was clean, fully equipped with everything that we needed to be comfortable. We enjoyed all of the amazing amenities and the hosts were extremely responsive and kind. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa. The home is beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s incredibly spacious both inside and out, giving us plenty of room to relax and unwind.The pool area is well laid out, with comfortable outdoor dining and sitting spaces, plenty of room for loungers, and even a hammock for those perfect lazy moments. The outdoor sitting area quickly became one of my favourite spots — an ideal place to read a book in the shade of the tree and enjoy peaceful afternoons.A real highlight was being able to catch fish right off the dock and watch for passing manatees and dolphins which we managed to see most days. Although we didn’t have time to use the kayaks, the launch setup looked very easy and well organised.A truly relaxing stay that we would happily repeat.

Incredible Stay!

This property was incredible and probably one of the best we have stayed at. The hosts have thought of everything and you have everything you need for your stay. The house was so clean and the kids loved the pool. Incredible hosts and I would highly recommend staying here next time you’re in the Tampa area!

Family Vacation

We had an amazing stay in Sunset Villa. The home is beautifully updated and has everything you need. Karen & Dan were wonderful hosts from start to end. We will definitely be returning.

Our visit was well organised and altogether an outstanding experience. We have stayed in a number of Villas across Florida in recent years and this one was by far the best in terms of value, quality as well as location.Everything from enquiry, check in to our day to day living experience was perfect. The big bonus and key differentiators were the kitchen quality, pool size, additional outside patio seating area with BBQ, as well as the jetty for kayaking/fishing on the water.We will definitely look to return.

Wonderful winter retreat

Our second stay at this gem in Apollo Beach. The home and it's amenities are all that and more that you would need for a relaxing getaway. We had great fun in the pool, chilling in the outdoor lanai and kayaking throughout our stay. We even spotted quite a few manatees in the canal way right off the dock. Karen & Dan are wonderful and incredibly considerate hosts.

Great place to stay!

The house was very clean. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. We caught fish off the dock and used the kayaks and enjoyed the heated pool! We will definitely stay there again! The hosts were awesome and made sure we had what we needed. We had a great trip!

Vacation Heaven

This house is clean and beautifully updated. The pool water was heated perfectly and never too cold. The dock is enjoyable and offers great views of gulf sunsets. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful Home

Absolutely loved our 6 day stay here. Kids loved the pool, which was nice and warm even on the cooler days. Air hockey table was a blast. Nice TVs throughout. The hosts really thought of everything. There were so many nice little touches like reading lights in the bunk beds, phone charging stations, and bean bag chairs in the kids room.

Perfection!

We spent a week here for spring break and as an early birthday trip for our almost 13 year old twins. Everything was exactly as described and photographed, and more than met our expectations. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen had everything we could need, the pool and back area provided a more than relaxing space, and the dock was great for fishing. We also saw manatees and dolphins. Kayaks were great for getting out on the water. Highly recommend!

Perfect place for R&R

We loved our week long stay at Sunset Villa. The owners have put together a beautiful comfortable place to relax and have family time together. We spent many hours in the pool, chilling in the hammock and kayaking the canalways - even spotting a couple of manatees. This was truly a home away from home - with everything you could need and then some. Communication with the owners was great and instructions/information were clear and organized. Thank you Dan and Karen - we hope to come back soon!

Wonderful Vacation

We would like to thank Dan and Karen for their excellent communication both before and during our 4 week rental at their beautiful house on the canal. We have rented during the month of March for the past 8 years either in AZ or FL. We especially enjoyed the pool which was kept at 89 degrees throughout our stay. The house had everything we needed both inside and outside. The area was very quiet and local restaurants were very good and close to the house with little traffic. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful Week

We had a great time at Sunset Villa. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. We fished, kayaked and dispite the cooler than average temps, the well heated pool made it possible to swim everyday! My kids appreciated the beach and pool toys, and I loved watching the wildlife and sunsets over the canal. Karen and Dan were great hosts, quick to respond but honestly we needed very little becase that house was so well appointed. We liked the quite neighboorhood, it made a great homebase for our day trips. We would absolutely stay here again, in fact my daughter was ready to move in and never leave!

Canal, pool & kayaks!

It was so nice to be on the canal and have a view, rather than in a neighborhood surrounded only by roads. We enjoyed watching boats going by; and from the dock, we could actually see across Tampa Bay to St. Petersburg!The house was spotless and equipped with everything one might need. Towels were ample and fluffy, and the bedding was so comfortable. Large screen tvs were definitely a plus for us, as were the kayaks and bikes. Dan & Karen were always available to answer questions, both before our booking and throughout our stay, which was much appreciated.We had a great time and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a unique stay.

Family Vaycay

Beautiful location. House was modern and immaculate with some really cool features! Doors and windows to back of house completely slide open to keep everyone connected whether they are inside or out! Updated technology and appliances. We will be back!!

Perfect place to unwind.

Karren and Dan are the most gracious host I have ever experienced, candy, snacks and bottles of water after a long day traveling. Knowing we were there to fish, they even had bait on the dock ready for us. Private pool was perfect only steps away from the bedroom door. The ability to keep a boat at the dock is priceless, fishing and boating from right from the back yard, really doesn't get any better than that. The area is quit, and traffic is mild even through spring break. Definitely a place I will be returning to.

Perfect place in paradise

This home is by far the best rental I have stayed in. The entire property is beautifully decorated indoors and out and so well stocked. The beach equipment, fishing gear, grilling supplies, kayaks and arrival snacks were amazing. We loved the pool and fishing off the dock. My daughter had so much fun spotting manatees and dolphins in the canal everyday. The home is conveniently located close to food options and the beach/park. We also easily made day trips to the Tampa Zoo and Sarasota. The owners were so kind and easy to communicate with. We loved the area and home so much we’ve already booked for next year.

Beautiful home

We were stunned how beautiful this home is. Everything is brand new and clean. The hosts are so thoughtful! Chances are if you forgot to pack something or buy at the store, the hosts had it a available. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The pool, air hockey table, board games and fishing off the dock were a huge hit with the kids. The adults enjoyed the table area with umbrella in the pool. The beds and furniture are comfortable. My only regret was not staying longer.
