"The grounds were beautiful. That was the hotel's only redeeming quality. The staff was disinterested. I waited for quite a few minutes for staff to check me in. The amenities were non-existent except for a vending machine with no healthy options which was accessible with many futile tries only with credit card. The furniture was old and battered. Elevator seemed to malfunction and very confusing where to go upon entry. No blow dryers. TV was a smallish monitor which couldn't be watched from the...

"Only stayed here for half a night, but it was very lovely. Staff were super nice. The commonsroom was very pretty, and the atmosphere were more personal than with other hostels, since so few people were staying there. I was allowed to just leave without checking out, which were useful for me since I had to catch a plane early at Toronto's airport. There's a bus closeby that goes straight to the airport every hour both day and night, which makes this hostel a cheaper (and more cozy) alternative...
