"Bar Cillatah was is a wonderful house in a beautiful setting. The house was clean, comfortable and close to the lovely town of Kenmare. Views from the house are amazing. We were able to do day trips from there such as The Ring of Kerry and Kinsale. Jer was an attentive host. We definitely recommend Bar Cillatah!"

"We loved this vrbo, it was an authentic Irish cottage. Communication with the host and the local people who help take care of the cottage was great. Timmy the groundskeeper was extremely helpful upon our arrival at the location. Very spaceous, with a large fireplace, full kitchen, washer, dryer. Lots of history and photos of the cottage over the years. Central to Killarney and Dingle. Our favourite!!!"

"I can’t recommend this property enough. It was the most peaceful and comfortable stay. Deirdre and John’s attention to detail in the design and accommodation in the cottage was amazing. We were greeted by 2 sweet dogs and a happy line of cows walking into the pasture. The large bay windows flood the home with light. Deirdre left eggs, milk, fresh bread and jam for us to nibble on for breakfast. She had many wonderful local suggestions. I can’t say enough about the scenery. I highly recommend...

"The cottage is very basic and dated, but the location can’t be beat. It is a lovely, quiet spot (secluded, even) between Kenmare and Sneem. No internet, no frills, but the owners are very nice and the cottage had everything that we needed. We found the bed to be quite hard. We really enjoyed our stay."

"We were very comfortable at this house. We particularly liked that there were things llike chocolate mints, sugar, and other things in the cupboard that made us feel welcomed. The place was a little difficult for us to find using the Sat Nav system on our rental car but we made it. "Ein wunderschönes typisch irisches Haus eingetaucht in atemberaubendem Naturpanorama . Wer Stille und Ursprünglichkeit liebt ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Im Haus herrscht eine sehr private Atmosphäre durch die vielen Bücher und persönlichen Dinge des Gastgebers. Wir waren mit 4 Erwachsenen im Haus. Ein Schlafzimmer befindet sich auf einer Galerie, die eine sehr niedrige Deckenhöhe hat."

There is a nice big kitchen with a large selection of kitchenware. Dining area with views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains. "I was concerned as to why there were no reviews on this place yet, so just wanted to leave one for anyone else who's considering it. This cottage was spotless, with beautiful views. The beds were comfortable, shower had good pressure and hot water (we've stayed at some where that was not the case), host(ess) was so sweet and kind, check in was easy, check-out was easy, it has been updated, so all fresh and new. "Everything was mostly clean, but using the water heater was an adjustment and neither of the toilets flushed correctly. That was quickly fixed by maintenance though. My only real complaint about the property was the noise level. It seems that these apartments are rented out to large groups of students who party and make an unbelievable amount of noise. Great amenities, not so great with the noise. "
