"Wonderfully friendly host, gorgeous location, very relaxing and comfortable house. A great way to get away from the usual tourist route and to see another part of the Kaikoura coast. Loved listening to the ruru at night, watching the quail in the backyard, reading the history of the valley, and hanging out with the sheep. "A wonderful peaceful retreat! Comfy beds, full kitchen, big lounge chairs to sink into, while watching that superb view over a quiet lake. Clean windows helped. Everything you could want in the kitchen. We loved the artwork around the walls and the ambience! The books around gave us history and birdlife and would encourage more days to stay if we had the time! We felt very private and the total silence must have been good for the soul."

"This great farmstay was so comfortable for our group of 7 and the views were stunning. Emma's hosting was lovely, complete with touches of welcome like fresh flowers, delicious preserves, bread, etc. And so easy to get around and explore in easy outings in the surrounding area. A great spot!"
