"Quaint and cozy cabin on a beautiful property! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Communication from the host was excellent. We would definitely stay again. Wish we could have stayed longer! Just a note that once on the island there is only one bar that serves food, and one nice little store that has a good variety of necessities, so plan accordingly."

"We loved everything about our stay. We had gone up to go to the I-500, but decided to stay right where we were, it was so peaceful and lovely. The host is most generous and very hospitable. "The stay was fantastic and the cabin was amazing. It is right on the water with privacy. We loved how everything was labeled and how cozy the cabin was. We recommend this place to anyone looking to get away but also be within driving range of all the great spots the UP has to offer."

"My spouse, two dogs, and I had a fantastic stay at the Cabin. We hiked extensively in the area's major parks and walked on the beach every morning. The cabin had everything we needed and extra basic necessities in case they came up. The sauna was the perfect way to end our evenings after long days. We loved this stay and hope to come back in the future!"

"We loved our fall getaway at this adorable cabin. The fall colors were gorgeous and the weather couldn't have been better! Sunny and cool temperatures so we could explore the area comfortably as a family with our 2 dogs. "My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!"
