Prior guests of this charming house next to the forest trails have already reserved their return stay for next year to ensure its availability!

Beautifully restored 1913 home features 3-season front porch for entertaining or relaxing, steps from Laurel Hill Assn preserve, and has ‘secret gardens’ where you can stroll through paths and see our fruit, veggies & flowers tended by our gardener in Spring and Summer. We have a fire pit for guests to sit around in the evenings, a lighted outdoor dining area and pergola, all situated steps from the footbridge leading to Ice Glen Trail. This amazing location is also a short stroll from Historic downtown Stockbridge where you will find plenty of bakery & coffee shops, gifts, sweets, bars and dining.

The house has heating & air-conditioning, a dedicated office, laundry room and 3 bedrooms, including:
Master Bedroom (White Room)- This en suite room has a highly-desirable King-sized bed, private bathroom w shower and skylight, plenty of closet space, and view of the river(seasonal);
Queen bedroom (Blue Room) - This room has a Queen bed, closet, and is next to the 2nd fl full bathroom with bathtub, shower & shaving mirror;
Full & Twin bedroom (Khaki & Green Room) - This room is suitable for adults with children, as it has a Full bed & a Twin-sized Day bed with a bureau and view of the gardens and river (seasonal). It is next to the laundry room and across the hall from the full bathroom with tub/shower.

House has a fully-stocked Kitchen with new gas range, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig machine, drip coffeemaker, bean grinder, teapot, cookware, wine bottle opener, utensils, china, glassware, spice collection. On the back porch, there is a smoker if you enjoy outdoor slow-cooked dinners.

We are a short drive to Tanglewood, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Norman Rockwell Museum, Naumkeag, Kripalu Wellness Retreat, Chesterwood, Stockbridge Golf Club, local ski resorts (Butternut and Bousquet) & neighboring towns Gt Barrington and Lenox with many restaurants, bars, and shops to experience!

What a sweet, wonderful, and cozy home! All the personal touches contributed to the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and did not go unnoticed. Julie was wonderful to work with and very quick with responses. Our girls-weekend to kripalu was made more enjoyable staying at this home. We look forward to returning for another wonderful weekend!

For the second consecutive year, we stayed here more than three weeks, which tells you all you need to know. And we already booked next year. Beautiful home with a beautiful garden, and one of the best locations in the Berkshires, with trailheads at the end of the driveway and many popular destinations within ten minutes.

This is a gem of a house. It is at the end of a dead end street and right next to a nature preserve, so quiet is the key word. Everything from communication with owner to arrival and departure was flawless. There are lovely treats and touches that made our stay so special - snacks, candy, excellent AC and super comfortable beds. Location is perfect for exploring area. We hope to return.

Great stay in a well appointed house close to trails, Stockbridge center, and a quick car trip to Lenox, Great Barrington, Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow, and Shakespeare & Co. we enjoyed the morning walks, coffee at the Lost Lamb, drinks at the Red Lion Inn, dance at Jacob’s Pillow, music at Tanglewood, ice cream at High Lawn Farm, and just that Berkshire vibe!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Julie's. House instructions were very clear and Julie was very responsive to all questions .The house is very spacious and cozy. Beds were comfortable and nice to see quality linens. I loved the fact you could walk to town and quicker through the secret path. AC was in every room and we did use it! Would definitely stay again.

Family weekend getaway

We had a wonderful time in this home. It accommodated our family of 4 easily. Several of us had to work the first day there and there were ample quiet spots and quality wifi for us. So easy to walk to town to restaurants etc

Gem in the Berkshires

At the end of a dead-end street but only two blocks from the center of Stockbridge, this century-old charmer may be the best-kept and best-supplied rental in the Berkshires. We stayed a month(!) and loved it. The location is unbeatable, an easy walk from the Red Lion and within 15 minutes of Tanglewood, The Mount, the Rockwell museum and other attractions. Four local trails begin 100 feet away, including the Ice Glen. A beautiful, productive garden awaits, and the screened front porch may be the highlight (in summer). Owner Julie is amazing, not only responding quickly but solving any problem beyond expectations. There’s no elevator, so the stairs will provide your exercise. You can’t beat this place.

A great stay in the Berkshires

A wonderful stay. The property was well appointed, in a quiet and peaceful location, but ideally suited for easy access to all Berkshire destinations. Communication with Julie was pleasant, prompt and helpful. Directions and instructions were clear. We had no issues during our stay, which made for a pleasant and productive visit for work and recreation. We hope to return another time.

The perfect Airb&b in Stockbridge

This adorable home in Stockbridge is the perfect place to stay in Stockbridge. Julie provided everything we needed and we really appreciated the quality of the dishes and wine glasses. The front porch is ideal for coffee in the morning and the fire pit was fun a great place to relax in the evening. Convenient to everything. Thanks Julie!

A special place

Julie’s home is a wonderful base for exploring all the Berkshires have to offer, and then returning to a special, comfortable, incredibly convenient home away from home. Being able to walk to Stockbridge Main Street, or hike the Ice Glen trail, or quickly come home after hearing a glorious concert at Tanglewood—this special home offers all that snd more. We look forward to returning in the years ahead! Absolutely 5 stars!!

Practically perfect in every way

The house is beautiful and exquisitely maintained, as is the garden, a rare finding in a rental. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. My only quibble was that my wife and I started sneezing only in the house, and mostly near the laundry area; we suspect some kind of fragrance that set us off. Julie was a very friendly and responsive host who was able to reschedule cleaning on very short notice so that we could arrive a day earlier than booked and enjoy more time in the Berkshires. The location is great -- easy walking distance from town and right on a trailhead. The Glen trail is beautiful, but we (and several others we met) turned back after a while because of swarms of hungry mosquitoes. Bring repellant and mosquito nets!
