"Spacious and clean rooms. Comfortable bed and nice balcony with lovely view of river. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. Would be happy to return!"

"The Marcus Whitman is a great place to stay as it is within walking distance of most everything in the downtown area. My only negative comment was about the bathrooms. The sink is a pedestal and there is no place to put anything except some narrow shelves. I had to put some of my things on the bathroom floor. A small chest or even just simple shelves would make storing your things so much easier."

"the fire pit would have been my favorite feature although we couldn't use it because there was a group out there sitting side by side and there wasn't enough room. it would have been nice if there was another one that wasn't up against the fence so more people could have enjoyed it. "
