The chalet is located on a small chalet park, at 900 meters and about 2 km from the centre of Stadl an der Mur, a town in Styria's popular Murtal holiday region, where there are several shops, restaurants and also a beautiful swimming lake. Beautiful sights in the village include the late Gothic parish church and the 16th-century Goppelsbach castle. The historic town of Murau is about 15 km away and has a beautiful old centre, a great range of shops and an indoor swimming pool.
In the immediate vicinity (approx. 5-10 minutes by car) is the well-known Kreischberg family ski area, the most modern ski area in the holiday region with 42 km of snow-assured slopes and 13 cable cars and lifts. Here carving and snowboarding is really fantastic! Another ski area and also a wonderful hiking paradise in the Nockberge is the Turracher Höhe with 43 kilometers of slopes. This ski resort scores with a wide offer, winter fans can go skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and winter hiking. Thanks to the high altitude of this ski area and its snow security, it is even open until the end of April. A third ski area in the region is the family ski area Lachtal (between Murau and Judenburg) with 35 kilometers of slopes.
The chalet park is located in an area known as one of Austria's sunniest regions, with quiet mountain passes and small traditional villages characterising the landscape. The region also offers several golf clubs for a relaxing golf holiday, such as Golf Club Murau-Kreischberg or Golf Club Grebenzen.
On the outskirts of Stadl an der Mur is a large leisure centre, it offers a 7,000 m² swimming lake with a section for non-swimmers and a paddling pool for children. There are spacious sunbathing areas all around, and the leisure centre also includes a playground, a half-pipe, a beach volleyball court and a football pitch, several tennis courts and a children's play park
