"Great place, just as described in the posting. Biggest pro is the area. Also, the rooms are nice and bright, breakfast was fine and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Yes, you can hear the train that runs by close to the hotel. But come on, it is a big city. If you don't like a bit of noise, then go to the country side. The train did not disturb my sleep at any time."

"Beautiful room. Well appointed. love the ambiance. Ashley Cartagena was very helpful with reservations!! Great location. Do not eat here, food is not good especially for the price. Rooftop bar view is cute but cocktails not great, I would skip them. There are dozens of cute coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, bars & shops all steps away. would definitely stay here again."

"My family and I came to Chicago to lay my mother in law to rest. Ben was really helpful in every way you could think of. There was enough rooms and space to accommodate us. I cooked a full course meal that turned out really great! lol The tenants were so nice and fun! They made our stay even better because we really needed those laughs! "For the amount of money I paid for this room showing up and no shower curtain, door the bathroom doesn’t close all the way. Even gets better!! ELEVATOR BROKE! I’m a senior, had to walk down 7 floors!! Mathis was suppose to be a relaxing experience being in town for my daughter’s wedding. Not happy!!"

"15 min outside downtown. 2 trains 5 min walk from hotel (blue/pink). Big renovated rooms with comfy beds. Pretty quiet. Breakfast is just ok. Nice bar with some food until 10pm."

"We had a nice, spacious room in a great location of Wicker Park. There were tons of restaurants and shops right outside our door. We had a 3rd floor unit in this walk-up "hotel." My only slightly negative comment is that the mattress was a little soft/sunken in the middle."

"Location worked very well for our needs. Location was a bit sketchy but we came across zero issues with the neighborhood. Room wasn’t perfect and could have been a little more clean as there was a dirty rag on the floor and the bed sheets/pillows had some questionable stains. Best New Subs across the street was delicious and worth stopping by. Keep in mind all amenities, bathrooms, kitchen, lounge areas are all shared spaces. Doors to the rooms could have been more secured with deadbolts."

"This was my second stay at the Sono. I love everything about it. It is a great location with restaurants within walking distance. Free to park close to hotel. Comfortable beds. Very clean!! Management is both helpful and friendly! Breakfast had healthy options. I plan to stay again next time I’m in town."
