Seaside Cottage med fremragende udsigt: Dejligt nyt soveværelse og veranda

Charmerende Oceanside sommerhus med screenet-in veranda og dæk med udsigt over vandet. Nyt soveværelse (2018) med terrassedør, der fører til stort dæk med spisebord. Flot udsigt over vandet og fyr besat øer. Watch ørne, fiskeørn, sæler, marsvin og hvaler fra ejendommen. Mindre end en mile fra chefen Harbour Lighthouse, den mest fotograferede fyrtårn i New Brunswick. Gå til smukke Head Harbour for at se fiskerbådene eller fange en hvalsafari tour. 3 soveværelser-1 med queen size seng 1 med fuld størrelse seng, 1 med køjesenge, plus en hems med 2 dobbeltsenge madrasser. Sengetøj forudsat; vaskemaskine og tørretumbler.
Annulleringspolitik: Så længe vi kan tilbagekalde det tidspunkt, du har reserveret alt, refunderes der mindre end en 20% afbestillingspolitik. Medmindre der er en særlig begivenhed med en ingen annulleringspolitik. Vi har stor succes i at leje den længere varsel, vi skal få huset til at leje. Hvis det er en sidste minuts annullering, vil vi endda sætte en ledig plads til at tiltrække drevet af turister, der måske søger indkvartering.

The propery was beautiful, well maintained, clean, and spacious. The location and the ocean views were amazing. The sunset were also very pretty. We watched the bald eagles flying above while we sat in the back yard. A perfect remote destination for a wonderful getaway..

While my love affair with Campobello Island started with an overnight camping trip to Herring Cove Provincial park, this property sealed the deal. This is my second stay at the Starfish and it is heaven on earth. Nothing compares to the wildlife encounters I’ve had at the scenic overlook. It’s clear how much Dennis cares about the island and I will continue to stay at his amazing cottages as long as he continues to offer them for others to enjoy.

The starfish cottage was perfect! Such a beautiful home in a perfect spot. We loved everything about it. The owner was great. Super helpful and communicative. Will absolutely stay here again!

Our stay

We liked the house. It was very quiet. Dennis stopped at the house unannounced twice. The 1st time, at least he didn't knock. We were a little unnerved not knowing who was outside. He was standing near the shed. We were home that day. My son realized he was out there. My husband wenr out and invited him in- feeling very uncomfortable. He was in the house for several minutes. The 2nd time Dennis stopped over was 2 days later. We were going out in about a half hour. I asked my kids to go out on the porch. I wanted a picture. After taking pictures, we went inside. Dennis was walking around back. No phone call, no email or text. It seriously weirded me out. He knocked on the back door. My husband just got out of the shower. I was so very uncomfortable. He forgot to give us a key. How about calling or emailing us? He stood at the back door and I eventually said, would you like to come in? I wanted to run at thay very moment. He came in and stayed for about 5 minutes. Just odd. Really odd. If he came back, I knew it needed to be addressed. Thankfully he didn't come back. The house was nice and cool- great breeze.

Great way to wrap up the summer!

My boys and I had a great visit. Such a beautiful place inside and out. Before we were even off the island my son asked to come back next summer! Host was great and helpful. We did think there was one more bedroom than there was but that may have been how I read the description. All in all we had a great trip.

Beautiful and quiet

The property is exactly as pictured. It was clean and well stocked. The screened in porch was great to allow outside seating without being pestered by the HUGE mosquitoes. It was very relaxing to just sit anywhere on the property and watch all sorts of birds including eagles fly by all day. Whales and dolphins as well as all sorts of boats passed by daily. The dog horn in the distance was soothing. The island is beautiful with so much to see from black sand or pebble beaches to stark cliffs. Seals at the narrows and all sorts of trails for every level. We are already looking into revisiting. Dennis was very responsive to questions and changed the reservation when I made an error on the date. He stopped by to be sure we had everything we needed and answer any questions.

Such a great place to stay. We wished we could have stayed longer. Immaculate house, with everything needed.... and the most gorgeous sunsets. We will definitely go back!

Dreamy Retreat

Loved our stay at Starfish Cottage - the porch, the fireplace in the wonderful master bedroom, the local artwork and memorabilia decorating the walls, and most of all sitting on the deck and watching the Quoddy River with its colorful fishing boats, seals, porpoise and even a whale.

A Secluded Little Oasis on the Ocean

My fiancé and I stayed at Starfish Cottage for 4 nights and fell in love with the property and with Campobello Island. The views are incredible and the cottage is absolutely lovely. It’s beautifully decorated with antiques and ephemera celebrating Campobello’s history covering almost every surface. Waking up each morning to a view of the ocean from bed felt heavenly and our entire experience was calming and serene. We will stay at Starfish Cottage as soon as we can.

Amazing breakfast with a Bald Eagle

This is an amazing property for the view alone. On Sunday sitting here eating my breakfast while watching a bald eagle sit on the viewing porch. The cottage itself is well equipped with everything a person would need to cook a great meal, we had some local lobster, Saturday for dinner. It’s really the view that stands out. Every few minutes I stop whatever I am doing and just stare off in to the bay. Come for the cottage and stay for the view. I know we will again.

where Eagles Soar

We stayed at Starfish Cottage for three very comfortable, but all too short nights. The 5 of us (plus our granddog) thoroughly enjoyed waking to the beautiful view each morning, wandering the island trails in the afternoon, watching the eagles soar from the comfort of our screened in porch (no bugs!) and listening to the whales spout in the evenings as we drifted off to sleep. We can't thank our host Dennis enough for a wonderful time. Nor can we recommend this cottage highly enough - should you choose to go and need room for more than 2 this is definitely a place you should consider. This is our second trip to Dennis's properties, but undoubtedly not our last!

Absolutely amazing getaway

This property is just incredible. That's really the best word for it. This is our second stay here - we loved it so much last year that I practically begged the host to give me available dates for 2019 so we could return this summer. The walkout patio overlooking the ocean, the screened-in porch, the deck & Adirondack chairs directly over the water, the whales, eagles, seals, porpoises... it's all amazing. We woke up to the eagles putting on quite a show. One actually perched right on the viewing deck in the back yard for a while. We saw/heard about 10 whales total, right from the back yard. No whale watching tour needed! And Dennis is such a great, friendly, courteous host. He even mailed us something that we accidently left there. If you need a place to relax, disconnect, and see some fantastic sea life, this is it!

Campobello island heaven!

It was a wonderful property and set up. The cottage and set up was amazing! We saw whales, seals and other wildlife. Very remote with beautiful scenery and sights. The only thing would be helpful is knowing that limited access to groceries and no gas station. We would have prepared our groceries and menu plan a little different. Overall loved it!

Excellent experience

We had a wonderful time at Starfish Cottage. An absolutely stunning setting, with privacy and great views of the water. The house is clean and pleasant with many nice, thoughtful touches. In good weather, the screen porch or the deck are very nice for sitting, reading, eating, etc.. The yard is sizable and there is a cool path down to a rocky outlook with excellent water views (just watch your step!). Dennis checked in to make sure all was well upon check-in. All in all it is a superb site and we will plan on booking here again.

Great house!

We stayed for 4 nights on Campobello in late June. The reservation process, check-in process and communication both before and during the stay were excellent. First impression is that this home has been lovingly created and decorated. It is one of the coolest houses we have stayed in. The entire story of this home is included in a photo album inside, along with tons of information about the area. We are a family of 5 and fit in the house with no problem. The master bedroom has breathtaking views and a very comfortable bed. There is also a full size washer/dryer in the master bedroom closet that was really nice. With a family of five on a road trip, this made life so much easier. There are two additional bedrooms along with a loft. My eleven year old claimed the loft as her space and loved it. I can not say enough about how the owners made use of every ounce of space in this small cottage. Unfortunately Mother Nature did not cooperate with us and we ended up with some chilly days with highs only in the 50s. The heaters and electric fireplace warmed the house up nicely. The mosquitos were terrible while we were there. After talking with some of the locals it sounds like it was a particularly bad year for them and not the norm. They did make it difficult to fully enjoy the outside areas. However, the screened porch worked great to keep them out and we were still able to enjoy our outdoor time. If only there was a way to heat that porch, we would have lived out there! We were a little early in the summer for spotting whales from shore. However, we did see several seals who swam daily right in front of the house. Make sure to stop by the visitor center when you arrive on the island. They were extremely helpful with suggestions of things to do and area information. The house is only a short distance from the Head Harbor light station. Make sure to head there during low tide and walk out. It was one of our favorite experiences on the island. This was our first time to Campobello. For other first timers, there is no gas station on the island and the Village store only has a small selection of groceries. We took a daytrip into the Lubec area to see the West Quoddy lighthouse and stopped to stock up at the IGA. Just pay attention to what you can/cannot bring into Canada. I hope you enjoy this home as much as we did!

Very beautiful and peaceful

This was absolutely wonderful for our family. We loved waking up to see the beautiful views of the bay. We could not praise Dennis enough he made us feel right at home in his beautiful cottage.

Perfect cottage for a quiet weekend, clean, comfortable all you need - and the views!

This cottage has all you need to enjoy a beautiful, peaceful getaway. Master is fantastic, our 11 year-old loved the bunks and the loft and I found the double BR very comfortable. The views are truly incredible, especially at sunset. Kitchen is equipped well (brought spices, oil, sugar, you need to fill the fridge) and very clean. No dining area but patio would be perfect to dine in warmer months. Heater worked great for our October chill. I loved doing yoga on the ocean front platform and visiting all the lighthouses. My elderly folks did well with only a step up to the master thanks to a sturdy handhold and cane.

Really loved the new master bedroom.

The new master bedroom really made our stay this year much more enjoyable. The additional deck over looking the back yard also made it easier to spot the passing minkes, seals, and harbor Porpoise. Caught three ISS passes horizon to horizon on two clear evenings too!
