"The hostess was very accommodating!! This is a very cute home and very clean!! There was 4 adults and 3 kiddos in our group we were all very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water! It was very nice to be able to wash and dry our clothes so we didn’t have to do that as soon as we got home. It was very cozy and felt like our home away from home!!! We definitely recommend this property and will definitely stay again when we come back to VA!!!"

"I absolutely loved this little cottage and can’t wait to visit again!! It had everything we needed and more. Loved the small private beach and watching the ferry crossing the James River. Spent time in Smithfield, which I want to do again and spent a day across the river visiting Williamsburg. I also got in a little fishing! The owner was great to work with and provided tons of info to make planning my visit perfect. I highly recommend this sweet little cottage! "

"Jeff's place is absolutely stunning! It's cleaner than places that don't allow dogs and is very well furnished. At the time we stayed there was no internet or television but seriously, you won't miss those. When you drive in you're not just pulling up from the road into a driveway, you're driving onto a small resort - through a gate that's well off the main road, past what looked like a boat house, around a roundabout, past a pole shed (game house), through a larger parking lot into the smaller...

"It was very quiet where we stayed .our cottage was also very clean .we enjoyed our stay the cottages are very nice ."

"This listing says cottage but it's an apartment. Be ready to go up stairs to get into it. The kitchen is small but fine. Everything works, but it's not especially well equipped for cooking. The coffee maker does not work. Our checkin was delayed for about 40 minutes when we arrived and we had no where to stay while waiting for our apartment. Wi Fi was very weak in the apartment and TV is like a hotel where there are certain channels available but no way to sign in to your own streaming accounts....

"Great views of the James River. Property had everything we needed. Located near all the attractions we wanted to see. Weather was great the first couple of days. We saw eagles near the property. Used the ferry to travel back and forth to the tourist areas. Interesting. Overall, an enjoyable and relaxing stay. "

"Loved every minute vacationing at the Guest House "Holly Hill" in Charles City, VA! The Saltwater Pool was extremely luxurious and relaxing! Even though we had quite a few days of rain, the sun still came out long enough for us to swim in the pool! The two new managers Justin and Charles were very nice and helpful. This was their first year managing the property and they did an excellent job! Was sad that Steve Rula, Jr has retired and we missed not seeing his smiling face! Wish Steve the best...
