Starten oå rundtur i Sydengland.
Vi valgte at starte med tre overnatninger i Southampton, da vi ville Sydengland rundt. Hotellet lå godt i forhold til Old Town, centrum og færgerne mid Isle of Wight. Ikke noget specielt at fremhæve, men rigtig god placering.

Uncomfortable stay
Not a comfortable 4-days stay! The aircondition did not work properly and was not fixed, The room was not properly cleaned and worst of all..,the bed sheet was not clean which was disgusting.

The room was pretty spartan, but the staff was great! I really appreciate their friendliness. I stay at Ibis, or have, maybe 5 or 6 times and really like them.

The staff were very untidy looking no pride in appearance. Breakfast was poor, no milk, no white sugar for cereals, disappointing.

The Ibis budget Southampton is a nice property within 10 minutes walking distance from the Central train station, and the Old town. Ask for a room on the north west side of the hotel(Non-smoking rooms) The other side, facing McDonald’s and TGI Fridays gets a lot of street noise, that you can hear if you keep the window open. I would also like to give five gold stars to one of their employees at the reception desk. Pedro was fantastic, and extremely helpful not only to me, but to many guests! Definitely an asset to the property! There are restaurants in two hotels next-door, a TGI Fridays, and McDonald’s right next to the hotel. Also, I would recommend IKEA, which is a few minutes walk away. They have a restaurant on the fourth floor, serving, reasonably priced meals, more of a cafeteria than a restaurant. The salmon plate was 7 British pounds, and they also serve fish and chips, Swedish meatballs, salads, and several desserts.

The price was OK, but the hotel was really basic. Breakfast fair but crowded. If you are taking the National Express bus, the terminal is near both Ibis hotels.

Good accomadation for a 1 night stay, not so fond of bunk bed over main bed, but still ok for 1 night & good access to cruise terminal & train station

This hotel, while being very basic with no frills, had a super helpful staff and was VERY conveniently located by walking to everything in Southampton - the train station, ferry, museums, shopping district, etc. A shopping mall was right across the street with drugstore, food market, electronics store, clothing shops, etc. I found the hotel a perfect place to stay while I was in Southampton for a week.

Very hot, stuffy and noisy due to works going on in car park. Room is very small. Good price and convenient for the cruise terminal though. Disabled parking get 1 night free.

The place was fairly easy to find especially at night and it was convenient from the coach station. The staff were very welcoming and helped us out with kettles and microwaves in the cold weather. The rooms are very modern and minimalistic. Definitely worth the price and the whole. Place has been maintained very well! Very happy and satisfied with our stay.

Moisissure et humidité
L’hôtel est très mal entretenu. Il y a de la moisissure sur les murs des chambres et de la condensation sur les fenêtres. Une odeur d’humidité est omniprésente dans la chambre. Lors du petit déjeuner un chien se baladait sans laisse à côté de la nourriture cela n’est pas hygiénique.

The property feels unloved. When I asked about pub food in the area from the person on front desk the reply turned out to be incorrect. Don't know about anyone else but I prefer a don't know to incorrect information. There do appear to have been a lot of business closures in the area but when you are telling clients you have no food I expect more options than "try McDonald's next store" YMMV

Overall was a descent hotel. It is a budget hotel so you shouldn’t expect a top notch hotel. The staff were all kind and very friendly. It’s a five minute walk from train station which takes you to Southampton airport or London. 10-15 minute walk from cruise terminal which is where we were going.

Amaizing experience in this hotel .Friendly staff from people at reception desk to cleaners Yasmily teran thank you very much for all your help and willingness to go extra mile to make my stay at this budget hotel as great as posibile . Breakfast was basic but enough for a day start Hotel is basic but it’s quite good for price and location Definitely I will recommend this hotel to anyone

Enjoyed our stay
It was clean and comfortable Good to be near the city centre Ideal place for short visit It could be better if their were kettles/ tea making facilities in the room However the reception staff were very quick at responding to request and we were given one soon as one was available. Could keep more kettles on stock and more tea bags/coffees My TV didn't work unfortunately Could be due to flat batteries in remote Overall very pleased Would sttay again

You get what you pay for
The first thing that happens when you arrive is that you have to pay £10 per day parking which takes this place into a different league than it is
