I always bring a “kit” with me when we stay in a short-term rental filled with stuff that isn’t usually provided by the host and I never even had to open it while we were there. A couple, but not all of highlights were there was Kleenex in almost every room, plenty of hangers in the closets, an iron AND a steamer, plenty of towels, hand towels and washcloths in the bathrooms, hand soap...
