"Disappointing stay – does not feel like a true 5-star resort We stayed at Hotel Riu Palace Tikida - three adults in two rooms, and unfortunately the experience did not live up to a 5-star standard. Before arrival it was almost impossible to get in touch with the hotel by email or phone, so we ended up booking via Hotels.com instead of directly. When we finally managed to reach the hotel, we booked round-trip airport transfer. Pickup on arrival was smooth, but on departure the car never showed up and we nearly missed our flight – completely unacceptable for a hotel that calls itself luxury. The buffet restaurant offered more or less the same selection every evening, and only a few staff members appeared truly service-minded. The noise level was very high, mainly due to staff loudly handling glasses, plates and cutlery on trolleys, and the food was generally bland and without much flavour. Evening entertainment was so loud that it was at times impossible to enjoy the bar area. Booking the à la carte restaurants was also difficult. Reservations had to be made via an app, which did not allow us to book a table for three together, even though we were travelling as a group of three. The reception staff were friendly and smiling, but when we needed help, we were sent from one place to another and rarely got any real assistance. On the positive side, the pool area and outdoor spaces were lovely, and the fitness centre was more than satisfact"

However , “The Spa” place on the hotel is horrible; the staff argue, do not understand own price list, forget the appointments with their customers. Also inside gift shop refuse to take visa card and do not seem to want to sell. It is stronger advice to get new partners . "This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and the worst review I will ever leave. Breakfast was a disaster. I paid extra for breakfast, and it was the worst breakfast I have ever paid for. After two mornings, I completely stopped eating there. The reasons are clear: extremely low-quality food, smoke inside the restaurant, and you leave smelling so bad that your clothes become stinky and unwearable. The breakfast manager is the most unpleasant person I have ever encountered—he forces uncomfortable conversations instead of focusing on improving the place or the food. His attitude makes an already terrible breakfast even worse. Absurd policy. The hotel does not allow guests to bring food from outside. This policy serves no purpose other than inconveniencing guests. Completely useless and frustrating. Roof leakage. It rained during our stay, and water was dripping from the ceiling inside the hotel. Unacceptable for any establishment calling itself a hotel. Worn-out towels. The towels are extremely old, rough, and clearly long overdue for replacement. Elevators barely function. The elevators are slow, unreliable, and essentially useless. You waste more time waiting than actually using them. Final verdict: I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you still choose to stay here, do NOT pay for breakfast—it is a complete waste of money."
