However, there were a few issues - the room we had was in the Escalera tower and had an outdoor entrance and there was always a huge puddle in front of our door. "The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful beach bar, and the restaurants are delicious. However, the resort was very noisy between construction, and nonstop leaf blowing through the day, so it was not peaceful waking up there. Also, the pools are very, very small and filled with kids so it is not quite accommodating to couples traveling without kids. They do have an adult pool, but it was not close to our room.
