"We really enjoyed staying at this cottage. It was within walking distance of the beach and our friends rental on Pebble Beach Lane. My only recommendation would be that the owner get screens for the front windows and bedroom window. Otherwise very happy with our stay. Owner was very responsive to my emails about the internet and TV. "

The proximity to the town was great and we were able to see the Redwoods and have a seaside getaway at the same time. We would absolutely stay here again. "Best rental house on the Smith River! This was our 3rd or 4th time here and it's still our favorite rental house ever. Fully stocked with every possible thing you might need. The hosts are great and very helpful and the location is unique in that is has the best access of any rental house on the Smith River. Even my barely mobile 84 year-old mother-in-law could get down to the beach to watch us kayak and swim. My only tiny complaint is that the knives in the kitchen were almost too dull to use,...

"Would probably have rated the hotel 4 overall due to the site at the beach, but our stay was negatively influenced by a lot of noice from the room above. The person staying there walked during the night and our ceiling was creaking and cracking so it was difficult to sleep. Also people walked right in front of our window giving us no privacy (stayed in room 109)"
