"Absolutely wonderful stay at Ten-Yu - amazing staff who made us feel so welcome and they were so helpful beyond what could be expected! The Onsen baths were great, also the bath tubs at our balcony’s! Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel."

"We booked this hotel to get a break from the Japanese city life, but we were quite disappointed. Looking at the pictures when we booked this room, they looked spacious and of newer date, with a private open hot spring - not exactly true to the real deal. When opening the door to the room, we were met with an awful odor, best described as a mix of filth and enclosed dirty moist laundry. The futons were nice though, but the open air hot spring is not open air. It is just a tub that does not get...

"It was set in a beautiful, lush area with bus access to many outings in Hakone. The hotel is an older one, with some renovations underway, but our room was big with a private bath fed by the hot springs, a definite highlight. Every dinner and breakfast was unique and flavorful. All of the staff was engaging and respectful. "

"Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. We enjoyed our 6 nights with you. The room was large and tastefully decorated. The free mini bar and the snacks in the common area was appreciated. We loved the morning exercises on the 30th floor and the sake tasting and our kids enjoyed the flower box workshop. We all enjoyed the onsen daily. I would have been nice if food did not have to be ordered in advance - it is a little challenging with jet lag etc. "

"Vi havde et fantastisk ophold på denne Ryokan og elskede vores eget bad på altanen - med udsigt til bjergene. Når man først ankommer er der kun stole på værelset, men efter middag sætter hotellet nogle behagelige futoner frem til at sove på. Vi ville ønske vi havde valgt et værelse uden mad inkluderet, da vi ikke var super begejstrede over måltiderne. Morgenmaden var fin nok, men man kunne kun vælge mellem at få den serveret kl 7:30 eller 8:30 - hvilket var lidt tidligt for os."
