"We had a wonderful time staying at Rita's! Location was perfect, just steps from the ferry and to a local restaurant/bar. The apartment was super clean and comfortable. Rita was very responsive and helpful, especially since we had never been to the island before and had a ton if questions. Can't recommend her place en9ugh."

We spent a day at the Heckscher State Park beach, which is nearby. We were planning to visit the Bayard Cutting Arboretum but couldn't because it started raining. Overall, a nice stay."

"Loved the location. Close to ferry & on the bay. Cute & rustic. When we arrived one of the front door window panes closest to the door handle was broken. Anyone could put a hand through and open the door. This made us feel unsafe. We contacted Vacasa, but nothing was done about it. Also, there was no air conditioner, so it could be stuffy on a hot day. There is a spiral staircase that leads up to the bedrooms, elderly or disabled would have a difficult time negotiating them. "We meet Manny when we arrived at the property and he showed us around and gave us great tips on things to do and beaches to visit, his wife found out it was my wife's birthday and she made her a special dessert. It was a great time. "

"The rental was close to what was expected but did not have enough bedding for 6 people though we were told it could accommodate 6 people. The air quality in the rental was poor and had a dehumidifier, which we were not aware of until arrival, and came with no instructions that we needed to manually empty it. It smelled musty and moldy and couldve also used an air purifier. The rental was basic and couldve used some more homey touches. Location was convenient for what we were in town for."

"Host never showed up to give us our key so we could not get in. We contacted VRBO and they could not get a hold of our host either. The VRBO customer service was helpful. We had to search for a last minute hotel and nothing was available. Thankfully a friend let us stay 45 minutes away for the night. We were able to find a hotel for the other 2 nights at steep prices. "This place was close to my son and family to whom we visited for a week Never met the host but that wasn't really necessary as entry was simple. Good wifi, tv and all our needs were met. Lots of niceties and although small the kitchen had a full sized fridge, oven, microwave and all dining essentials. The only downside was the mattress, as it is saggy, has no support and needs to be replaced. This is not a full cabin rental as the ad seems to allude to but a downstairs unit. There are windows...
