"This is traditional Japanesse inn (or what you would call it). It is very simple and stay to the traditional rules of behaviour (using indoor shoes in the right place, ect.) and food. If you are looking for that, this is the place for you. There are great opportunities for taking bath in the hot springs at the inn. There village where is it located is out of this world. You can walk to bus to Kyoto in 10 minutes and fantastic surrounding!! This is true relaxation!"

"We loved the staff and hospitality at Momijiya. My husband said it felt like we were staying at our grandma's house. We loved the ryokan experience as well. We really felt we were getting a more intimate Japanese experience. The food really put us Americans out of our comfort zone, but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Our rooms were quaint with nice view, and the comforters on our futons were incredible comfortable. Like sleeping inside a warm cloud. This is a great spot to feel...
