"we had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to returning again."

"The pub is set in a beautiful village and is old and quaint. It has s very close to Ham Hill Country park. It has a large bar area with lots of unique table spots to relax in. There is also a garden which I didn't use but looked nice from the window in my room. There is a campsite which is well appointed and great for a campervan stopover which is what I originally planned to do. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The menu and specials offered a wide range of food and all of our party...

"Very friendly owners, liked the history of the house."

"It was such a warm and welcoming team, 10/10 hospitality. It felt like a warm home, we're you could relax and be yourself"

"Newly renovated rooms, with very friendly family living there. I can only recommend to stay there. Only "negative" thing is, that there is not much to see in the area for more than 1-2 days. I felt very comfortable and relaxed at this place."

"We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs...

"Convenient with great cathedral view (room 2) . Very steep staircase so unsuitable for anyone disabled. Right in the centre of the city but little traffic noise."
