Hytter i Shenandoah Valley

"Rustic and fun. Be aware there is zero cell reception once you get close. You are indeed in the mountains!"

"The place was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and felt very happy and relaxed throughout our visit. We would definitely recommend this place!"

"Super nice location, the views are stunning with the lake, sharp top mountain etc. there is a bun fire (gas) that can be used doing the day and evening. Guests are so open to talk while sitting there. The staff is super friendly, and the beer and drink selection is really good. I would say the restaurant is decent, don’t go there for the gourmet experience but you you get good food not to pricey. The waiters feel a bit slow but that somehow feels part of the experience as they take them good...

"This is. beautiful lodge, staff are great and the views are stunning. Excellent place to stay before going in to or leaving the national park."

"Excellent experience."

"We had a fun event to attend at Lydia Mt so it made sense to stay the night. Our room was fine; dusty with many cobwebs on all of the stuff. Additionally, there was no coffee in our room- just an empty basket. The rooms are far too cluttered and dark. Must be a nightmare to clean."

"Very tranquil, high quality, on the mountain, all the amenities and then some! Fantastic place to stay."

"Beautiful lodge. Every interesting room. The mattress is horrible. My husband and I had a hard time sleeping on it and woke up numerous times. The bathroom overhead light does need to be cleaned, lots of bugs. We enjoyed the beautiful lodge and the gorgeous setting. Thank you."

"The Lydia Mountain Lodge was a nice surprise. We stayed 4 nights and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was quiet and comfortable. The mattresses were very comfy. The grounds and lodge are beautiful and fun to explore. I highly recommend!"

"Very nice had a great time pet friendly. We even took or fur baby to breakfast at there restaurant. We sat outside on there deck overlooking the mountains."

"Only comment to please stop using smelly cleaning liquids like Fabulosa!"

"No toilet paper, barely any shampoo, 2 wash cloths for a week. no one was at the desk ever to get more. Trash was left in the room from the previous visitors"

"Can't believe friends found this beautiful place not far from home to rest and relax. Wonderful service, friendly staff can't wait to come back!"

"Fantastic place to stay while hiking in Shenandoah for a weekend with my 4-legged best friend! The restaurant there is great!"

"Absolutely loved the stay! One of our favorite places for a night away. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Only suggestion is to make sure there are better options for the coffee station. We had no sugar and don’t care for the artificial sweeteners."

"This was our first time staying at the property, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed it and would consider returning. The room was very nice and clean, and the views and location were unmatched. The restaurant was also good. Our only complaint was the check-in process was odd, we did not see a single staff member the entire stay, and the “self check in” could have been explained a little better. There were also events both nights of our stay which made it very loud late into the evening. Other...

"The cabin is cute, but the property beside it looks down on the cabin so not much privacy or a view. There's no dishwasher, oven, or even a hair dryer here. When it rains the water turns rusty, thus is not drinkable and they don't leave bottled water for you or offer to help with that so that limits showers, toilets turned rusty, couldn't make coffee etc. The property was a little overgrown when we arrived as well. But a person came while we were there and cut the grass."

"We enjoyed our stay. However, there were a few hiccups along the way. We arrived at 5:45 and our door code did not work. I called the number listed in my email, one listed on the front door, plus texted the emergency number. It took 30 minutes to get a response. It was just a bit disconcerting to not have staff available, both to address typical needs or in case of an emergency. This also made us uncertain about overall security."

"Restaurant not open during the week"

"What an amazing property. Wildlife was abundant and you could hear birds and cows. I wish that the house had not still been set up for a wedding reception. There should be sofas in the main area for conversations when not being rented for a wedding. A set of instructions would have been helpful such as for the fireplace and how to use the oven. We figured out the latter but could not find the remote for the fireplace. It was 39 degrees one morning. These are tiny issues. Overall it was a great...
